Wow. And I thought it was going to turn out terrible, but it turns out that this is actually a pretty good series once you get past the artwork and stuff and at least continue on till episode 24 i think.

It starts off with a girl name Miazawa, who starts off as a spoiled and pampered chick who poses as a model student who, unbeknowst to most, is really just a child lurking for attention and popularity. She pretty much becomes a little miss perfect until she meets Arima, who is the exact opposite of her and who actually likes her. She tries finding many ways to crush him but ends up being hurt in the process. Even worse, this boy named Arima finds out her secret and threatens to expose her, unless she does what he says. It later falls short, and the two become good friends and later turn into lovers instead.

It's a good series that's got romance, comedy, action, some touching moments, and overall character development. I recommend watching this series if your a fan of romace with some action and comdey. But you may like the manga more, because the manga continues on after this series, which ends at 26. Plus the art was kinda bad and the subs were off.

otherwise i recommend this series to anyone who loves a good romantic comedy. Watch it if you can.

I only started watching cause someone recommended me to and said it was okay... so I started watching. But like, after a few episodes, I was already soo bored. But I was just like.... thinking, I don't wanna just leave the anime unfinished. So I kinda kept watching, but I just dropped after watching 10 episodes. That was my limit... So boring...

Not gonna review this like people usually do. You don't need to know everything about the story.
Kare Kano, or Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (His and her Circumstances) follows the story of the relationship between two A-grade students, and as the relationship evolves, and how that affects their lives and their world vision. It has some discrepancies with the manga because of some troubles with authoring.
NOW, this is a masterpiece. This is GAINAX at it's best - and we all know they don't do bland things. Karekano has a very present cinematic cut and feel, the soundtrack is by itself another masterpiece and is way more soundtrack-like than most animes, with lots of piano songs and different arrangements for the same song at points in the anime. In an audiovisual perspective, it goes further. GAINAX really shows that they "get" how to tell a story, using whatever they want to, cinematic scenes, funny chibis, manga panels running or even puppets talking in a silly background, all perfectly merged together, never ever outshining the story, a simple, but well told story.
As for more, KareKano offers enntertainment and fun for those that look just for that. But I assure you, you will keep this story and it's characters in your heart for long.
Go watch it. now.
