My favorite thing about Kaze no Stigma? Definitely the main characters. Kazuma and Ren are a personal favorite because they both emit this aura of ferocity that gets you on your feet. Ayano is great as well, although her moments of screaming and wailing can be a little strenuous on the nerves. Overall though, I greatly enjoy the fact that all three characters are headbutt strong. Kazuma, even though he was banished from the Kannagi family, is able to achieve a tremendous power of his own and defeat his enemies, which in my opinion is a very awesome quality. But with the help of Ayano and Ren, his little brother, he is also able to overcome his dark past and an old adversary with triumph. Kaze No Stigma doesn't have too much of a creative storyline and some may even say it's predictable; however, the fighting scenes in this anime are not to be forgotten. It's extremely riveting and really makes your jaw drop open in awe. And of course, I have to make some note about the romance. Definitely there and definitely makes progress, but that's as far as it will go. Still, it was nonetheless sweet to see the interactions between Kazuma and Ayano. Now in order to wrap this up, I just want to highlight one of the greatest points of this anime. If you're tired of seeing the heroine fall and fall, and then finally get back up again, don't worry. Kaze No Stigma doesn't go through all that repetitiveness. All you get is some great victories and heroines that really know how to battle it out.

Sorry for the crappy title, stupid character count... I just thought I needed to emphasize the Funimations opening title to all anime lovers because this was amazing!
Onto the anime, It has to be one of my favorites of all time. This anime had what I loved all in one. It had the action that I loved, the supernatural powers which I find amazing, and it had the romance. For a guy, I am not into the lovey-dovey scenes that I have seen in a lot of anime. This had the perfect match between Ayano and Kazuma.
Kazuma is just a bad ass character, basically what is needed in any good anime (in my opinion). He is strong and unlike most of his family, he has a different power. The Kannagi family are a family famous for their fire magic and Kazuma was never good at it. His father disowned him and told him to leave the Kannagi family. He returns to his home 4 years later discovering a new power; the power of wind. Apparently fire magic users were the strongest of the magic users, but Kazuma was the contractor for the spirits of the wind. Being a contractor means that he was in trusted with the Spirit King of the Winds' powers and was incredibly strong.
Ayano is that sassy cute girl that this anime needed. She was the next in line to be the leader of the Kannagi family and is paired up with Kazuma. They go along together on assignments defeating evil spirits. From their first assignment together, you see that this is going to be a long and struggle-filled relationship. Ayano blushes at the mere mention of the two of them dating each other and then becomes enraged. Instead of admitting her feelings she turns it into rage and yells at Kazuma.
Kazuma uses any chance he can get to push her buttons and make her made. She likes him but shows it through her anger. In a way, its a romantic comedy keeping me (a guy) entertained because of the humor. I swear, there was never an episode where you didn't hear Ayano say, "KAZUMAAA! I'm going to make you pay for this!" with the little fang they gave her anger face. I found their whole relationship amusing at the same time romantic. There were times where Kazuma was seriously trying to be nice to Ayano and every time she realized it, she quieted and blushed.
Enough with the romantic comedy part. The whole supernatural, evil spirits, and magic users was my main liking. There were times where Ayano and Kazuma were forced to work together to defeat an enemy. Not to mention Kazuma's little brother Ren who adored him. Ren was overjoyed to see his big brother return and spent a lot of time with him. On the other hand, his father fought him any chance he could. Kazuma's basic job after his first assignment with Ayano was to be her bodyguard as she was the next in line to run the Kannagi family, and her mentor to strengthen her powers.
The biggest twist to the story after their fights with other magic users was to discover Kazuma's dark secret from his past. It made me sit on the edge of my seat on the last few episodes. They left the ending hanging for another season but never made one which I was sad to find out.
I still laugh over the romantic and anger moments between Kazuma and Ayano. Kaze no Stigma is an anime definitely worth watching and putting on your favorites list.

Kaze no Stigma is an epic show.
It remind me of Air Bender the anime. He grow up couldn't master his power compare to his cosin n was dishonor from the family n So he left to find something he is good at. He come back as the Master of Wind which he would resemble Naruto & Sasuke put in 1 body n mind.
Each episode has it up n down but it an good show to watch tho.
Dint take my word, just watch it.
Shame it ended half way due to the author died.

Great anime. We bought it and I watched it in Japanese and English. The English wasn't all that bad!
The storyline was pretty fun with a lot of one-shot stories amidst some nice story arcs that tied together. Overall, we liked it a lot.

Before AnimaxAsia promote this anime, I haven’t heard anything from this anime : Stigma of The Wind. On preview clips, they said this anime about wind master against fire masters and the scenes shows fight between two person using fire and wind. Seem to be interesting, I’m looking forward the day first episode airing. But, I missed it. So, I watched the three episode continuously in weekend schedule.
The opening theme not so bad, I like the man who appear first time (it’s Kazuma! He’s cool). Then, the story begin. School day of Ayano Kannagi, the main character. Kannagi’s Family, the best fire-master in Japan. It’s begin the supernatural’s section. There’s slaughter involved Kazuma and Kannagi’s Family. Too bad some character died already. After accident’s scene, that killed some Kannagi’s family member, Ayano ran searching her relative. Off course she mad and want to revenge after saw her uncle died. She point her weapon to Kazuma, that she thought he was the murder. BUT! Why she still can blushing after Kazuma flirt her? I mean, she just saw her relatives died, decide to revenge, now she blushing and also make silly face-expression?! That’s too quick for feeling to be change suddenly! Not just first episode, the next 3-5 episode also have “quick face expression change”, the day where almost all Kannagi’s Family beaten up, then something silly came, make expression on Ayano’s change drastic! Not just Ayano only, Kazuma’s little brother also quick to happy after crying with tears! I can't said the animation was bad or either the storyline, may be it's character face expression's matter.
Overall, the story begin with war with wind-master, daily days and pointed on Kazuma-Ayono’s relationship, then ending by escape from Kazuma’s enemy. The ending quite hanging, but it’s happy ending though. I like the story about Len Kannagi and his first love. Ayano and Kazuma involved too, also there are fight with earth-master. On this story, I saw less of “quick expression change” and I like the song: Tsuki Hana no Inori, singed by Ayumi Tsuwabuki. On the episode that this case solved, the ending theme have a little bit different. Usually, on episode ending theme, Kazuma sat watching to the sky. This one special episode have Len on same place as Kazuma sat (and same position).
As I said before, the ending of anime series is they’ve escape from Kazuma’s biggest enemy. Actually, they story take us to Kazuma’s past. If you see brown-hair girl, who haven’t introduce until the final story, she’s Kazuma’s ex-lover. The devil Bernhardt Rhodes cultivate anger on Kazuma using the Tsui Ling. Ayano and Len together with Kazuma, fight against Bernhardt. The battle scene was very good! (Some part have similarity with other anime). Even though not up to 5-10 episode were all battle scene, the last battle are very good. Good job animators team!

Kaze no Stigma is a fun anime if you're interested into this genre. Battles, magic, comedy
Yagami Kazuma was originally part of the Kannagi family, a respected family of fire users who have an affinity to fire. However, after being easily defeated by his cousin Ayano and having no talent whatsoever in fire magic, Kazuma is banished and casted out from his family. 4 years later, Kazuma finally returns to Japan, this time as an exceptionally powerful wind user. A series of murders on Kannagi family members have occurred with his arrival. While most of the family including Ayano is convinced Kazuma is the culprit, he honestly isn't. These events begin an all out war against the Kannagi family, with Kazuma and Ayano right in the middle of it. Based on the novel by Takahiro Yamato.
