(釘宮理恵, Kugimiya Rie
?, May 30, 1979 -) is a prolific Japanese seiyū who was born in Osaka and brought up in Kumamoto. She is affiliated with I'm Enterprise.
Kugimiya is most known for the roles of Alphonse Elric in Full Metal Alchemist
, Shana in Shakugan no Shana
, and Kagura in Gintama
. She is typecasted to tsundere roles due to her voicing of tsundere characters Nagi (Hayate no Gotoku!
), Shana (Shakugan no Shana
) and Louise (Zero no Tsukaima
), all of whose anime aired around the same time.
She has also contributed her voice to various merchandise such as with Mugen Puchi Puchi Moe, a virtual bubble-wrap popping game, and voiced various characters on a set of moe Karuta cards
She was nominated for Best Actress in Leading Role in the first Seiyu Awards for the role of Louise in Zero no Tsukaima, and jointly won Best Actress in a Supporting Role with Mitsuki Saiga at the second Seiyu Awards. Some of her fans has branded her as the Queen of Tsundere. Because she makes a remarkable portrayal of tsundere characters, that aside, most of the roles given to her are tsundere ones, Shana, Louise are no exception to this.
Kouya Sakagami (坂上江夜)
She is a fighter of the female Zero pair along with her partner and romantic interest Yamato Nakano.
Until they met, both pairs believed they were the only Zero pair to exist. Both teams are experiments created by Nagisa at different times, and the female pair is presumably the first generation. Despite their unusual background, both Kouya and Yamato attend high school, although different ones.
Kouya, unlike Yamato, is very serious and does not take things lightly. She is reserved though Yamato is the only one who is able to get her to open up.
She meets Yamato when they are both young and were trained together to work as the Zero pair. While growing up, her feelings for Yamato grew stronger until both girls had fallen in love with one another.
She is deeply in love with Yamato despite trying to hide it from others. Her cold, aloof exterior is armour for her true feelings; she is truly afraid that she will lose Yamato. It gets to the point that she even ends up throwing up from fear at the idea of being separated from her lover and pair.
It is more than evident that Kouya has had sex with Yamato, as both girls clearly have a physical and romantic relationship alongside their professional relationship as Zero. In an interesting demonstration of the series' fictional world's rules and expectations of society, Kouya wears fake cat ears despite not being a virgin as they "lost their ears to each other". Yamato often teases her about it, particularly because Yamato doesn't try to hide her status. In episode 10, the Zero girls, Soubi, and Ritsuka fight, and Soubi easily defeats the Zero girls. Ritsuka stops Soubi from delivering the final blow, and the Zero girls decide to forfeit the battle. Rather than being separated or killed by Nagisa, they first consider committing suicide together but then they decide to stop being 'Fighter and Sacrifice' and be reborn to live free together.
