Byakuya Kuchiki (朽木 白哉, Kuchiki Byakuya?) is a fictional character in the anime and manga series Bleach created by Tite Kubo. He is the captain of the 6th Division in the Gotei 13. His lieutenant is Renji Abarai.

Kuchiki Byakuya rarely smiles. His zampakutou is called "Senbonzakura" in shikai form and "senbonzakura kageyoshi" in bankai form. His zanpakutou will appear as scattering petals of sakura around his enemy but actually they are fibe blades. Byakuya is an expert in Kidou. He is the most strongest in the Kuchiki family. He had a wife, which looks a lot like Rukia. His wife is Rukia's elder sister. Byakuya looks cool and proud most of the time, but actually he has a warm heart beneath him. Byakuya, like Rukia, is equally bad in the sense of art.
