I think the possibility is high, b/c Nao has really had a huge effect on Akiyama's life. But I didn't expect any "romantic" scenes between them during the last episdoe largely b/c it'd be out of character so soon into their relationship for Akiyama. Just by him saying that perhaps Nao's stupidly honest character isn't such a bad thing is already a big step in favour of them ending up together. But even if they didn't, for sure, they'd remain friends.

Well, it's obvious by a few episodes in that he likes her (if not in a romantic way); after all, Nao has a purity to her that he wants to protect - even if it's against his better judgment. So yes, even if they didn't progress in the relationship, they'd remain friends; however, HOPEFULLY, if we get a second season featuring these two with more LGT (insert possibly evil, ominous laugh here) we will see more progression in the romance part (without it trailing from the main genre of suspense/mystery. keep to the main idea: Liar Game, not Lover Game). After all this, you can tell that Nao brings sunshine to Akiyama's rather gloomy, analytical world where trust doesn't come easy at all.

You can see it. The potential is there! It grazes the fingertips.

Well, akiyama is really protective of her, so chances are pretty high. Or else all he just saw his mother in her and was determined to protect her such that Nao would not have to suffer the same fate as his mother.

Well, I hope they do. Cause well you can obviously tell that he cares for her even though it's more of a Mother cat looking after a carefree kitten. I hope some romance progresses but then again this show isn't focused on romance. =[
