I might just kill myself

The artwork is amazing, the plot is to die for, the characters are so deep and wonderful, and overall this is AMAZING!

HOWEVER, I might kill myself- not because this anime was so amazing (because it was) that I have to kill myself and possible be reborn as a 2D anime creation but because it's INCOMPLETE!!!!!!!!! That's right, the 12 episodes answers nothing, which is so sad because the series is so amazing. (The reason why it stopped, the anime that is, is because the manga had stopped releasing new chapters and they needed to wait for the manga to come out so they could have new episodes) IT leaves millions of unanswered questions and there's almost no hope for it to continue on (being as it's already been a good four years since it's anime release).

So because of that I decided to snoop and google everything I could and found out the manga is still going on and won't stop until volume 15. (The anime only covered about to...eh chapter four?).

So I of course went and read it (on Mangafox) and I'm so sad that I did. The beginning was amazing, it really was, the plot and storyline were perfect...when it started getting to where the anime left off- that's when things got rocky...really rocky...almost no progress was being made and all the new releases were nothing but 15 page filler chapters and every now and then they would only be chapters of pictures and notes- nothing to do with the storyline at all...I'm trying not to be too much of a spoiler but I'm starting to lose faith. (But still fighting!)

And the filler chapters doesn't answer any questions, instead it only brings in all this information and leaves us readers going wtf? (Example, not a real one cause I don't want to be a spoiler but a made up one. The fighter and sacrifice were about to fight and suddenly the moon turned into the sun and yet no one said anything and it turns out that the fighter really had a sister that was never mentioned before.)

This truly is an amazing anime, the anime didn't confuse me at all- the manga did- and it might just have been the quality maybe? (Anime for the win!) But either way there's millions of rumors on why it's only fillers but it gives no excuse in why the plot is being abandoned completly! I'll update if anything changes- no luck thus far...I'll stop my rant now >.>

The reason why I hate YAOI... :)

Ever since I was young... I really hated yaoi or shounen-ai or boyxboy love. I really don't approve of Junjou Romantica but hey, who am I to judge these kind of animes/mangas.? But when I watched Kyou Kara Maoh for the first time, I was shocked. True, yaoi is not one of its genres but Wolfram and Yuri's antics left me wanting for more yaoi. hahaha.. I thought, "yaoi is not so bad, after all." but it ended there. Kyou Kara Maoh was my first and my supposed-to-be last yaoi anime.

After 1 year of my addiction to Kyou Kara Maoh, I was fascinated of this anime/manga entitled, "Loveless". I mean, it's like, a manga that centers around a person who is loveless?? But I was wrong. I was depressed when I saw that one of its genres is yaoi. I just don't want yaoi. But, the artwork of Loveless left me wanting for more... I was mesmerized by Ritsuka and Soubi's handsomeness. So I decided to plunge into the yaoi world and start reading this manga.

I was shocked at their first kissing scene. I mean, has kissing between two same sexes always been THAT BEAUTIFUL.?? Even though my initial reaction SHOULD be that of weariness, I just loved it more. Then came their, like, love triangle (for me). It's like Soubi and Seimei are both inlove with Ritsuka. I really liked the incest feeling of Seimei towards Ritsuka. And Ritsuka is just so kawaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii..... and to add to his kawaiiness is that nekomimi matched with a tail... hah.!! It's like the reincarnation of Ikuto Tsukiyomi (though Loveless was released first of Shugo Chara).

This is the main reason why I hate yaoi. It is so vindictive. First, you hate it. Then you realize that it's not so bad after all. And after that realization, it's too late already. Forbidden relationships are sure to be found in this manga/anime.

To sum it all up, LOVELESS MADE MY 2009 WORTH MEMORABLE..

I LOVE THIS ANIME SOOOO MUCH. RITSUKA'S CHARACTER IS SO SAD BECAUSE OF HIS ABUSIVE MOTHER. SOUBI IS A BIG HELP FOR RITSUKA BECAUSE SEIMEI IS A TERRIBLE BROTHER. AND IF YOU READ THE MANGA YOU'LL KNOW WHY.

Twelve-year old Aoyagi Ritsuka is left with his insane mother as his only family when his brother, Seimei, is killed suddenly. After moving to a new school, he meets Agatsuma Soubi, who claims to have known his brother. Ritsuka eventually discovers that Soubi and Seimei used to be a fighting pair, whereby Soubi was the "Fighter" and Seimei was the "Sacrifice". Now that Seimei is gone, Ritsuka has inherited Soubi, who will become his "Fighter". After learning that Seimei was killed by an organisation known as the "Seven Moons", Ritsuka decides to investigate into his brother's death, with the sometimes useless help of Soubi, along the way.

Okii~ as a yaoi fan, I would have loved it, so I tried it. At first I thought it was lame, but in the end, I finished it in one night. It was soooo interesting and very good. :] I like how everyone has cat ears when they are virgins haha, and I like the fighting. I didn't quite like the bit of yuri that was contained, but the rest was interesting and I loved it. -Lexie

As a yaoi fan, when I heard about loveless,I was imidiently interested.

Making it past the opening and after Ritsukas little monolauge,I was already hooked.
The first episode was nothng less then amazing and the first fight against breathless litterally took my breath away.

The animation during the fight was absolutely beautiful, the spells they exchanged we're good as well, not you average, ryme here, ryme there spells.

The rlationships between the fighters and sacrafices was shown well too.
So OVERALL the anime is excellent.

However,
If you watch the anime and THEN read the manga, you'll see that a few characters we're left out along with most of the plot.
While in the anime,Ritsukas brother is shown to be kind,POSSIBLY cruel, the manga shows EXACTLY what kind of character he is and how manipulative/sadistic he can be,even towards his own fighter.
Along with that,Soubis relationship to ritsuka and vise versa is gone into a lot more, showing soubi that he can trust ritsuka and showing ritsuka that not all things are as they seem.

The anime was good, the manga is at least 5 times better.
I recommend them both very highly.

My Thoughts for Loveless aka Aoyagi Ritsuka

On his first day at his new school, 12-year old Ritsuka Aoyagi meets a mysterious 20-year old man named Soubi Agatsuma. He claims to be a good friend of Ritsuka's brother, Seimei, who was recently murdered, and the suspicious organization called the 'Seven Moons' may be responsible for the death. As Ritsuka quickly finds out, Seimei and Soubi acted as a pair involved in spell battles. Now Soubi is Ritsuka's fighter, and Ritsuka is his 'sacrifice'. Together, they challenge the organization to find out the truth behind Seimei's death and the reason for Ritsuka's amnesia.

For some reason, Ritsuka was not originally Soubi's sacrifice so they did not bond too well. During spell battles, Ritsuka would let Soubi kiss him so as a mark of trust.

Soon, they encouter several pairs from the organization the seven moons and Ritsuka tries asking Soubi the impossible question over and over.
