Positives:
* Character designs are mostly great. Wing fans (like me) will get their fix.
* Mecha designs are solid, as can be expected from a Gundam show. Specifically, the Virtue is a powerhouse instant classic.
* Pacing is better than average; something important happens in nearly every episode
* Avoids an excessive amount of backstory in favor of current action

Negatives:
* If you don't like Gundam Wing, you'll hate this one nearly as much. Luckily, this does not apply to me. Go Heero!
* Hearing "Blah blah blah blah Celestial Being. Blah blah blah Celestial Being" over and over again really gets annoying after a while.
* The music, while nice, isn't as good as it was in SEED and Destiny. The first opener of the first season is good, though. TM Revolution saves the day.

Overall:
I can break down this review for you and definitively recommend whether or not you should give 00 a try. If you like mecha, you will, at the very least, like the action parts of Gundam 00. There are definitely a lot of instant classic mecha fights towards the end of the show. If you like political anime, you will like Gundam 00. There is most definitely a lot of factional warware occuring that this show, much like the Oz/Specials/Treize Faction/Romefeller/White Fang stuff in Wing. Along those same lines, if you liked Gundam Wing but were turned off of some of the other Gundam shows, you will enjoy 00. If you think Zeta Gundam was the be-all and end-all of Gundam, though, you may walk away disappointed. This show isn't a polemic about the pain of war and "one man's struggle". This is a amazingly animated anime series that attempts to modernize the Gundam franchise for the current generation. It takes the SEED audience that is now 5 to 7 years older than they were when SEED premiered and attempts to give them a story that is a bit darker and more "real". Likely, the next Gundam series will attempt to be more "real" than Gundam 00 in an attempt to grow up with their audience.

I'm a Wing fan, mostly because I like having multiple protaganists- it's good to have multiple plot threads running at the same time as opposed to dealing with the same "whiny kid in a mobile suit" archetype over and over again. Because of this, 00 impressed me. If I had to deal with Alleluja Haptism alone for 50 episodes, I'd probably lose my mind. Thankfully, I was given the option of following Lockon, Tieria, and Setsuna instead. One final warning, though: if you like stories that are neatly tied up with a proper epilogue, you might want to wait to watch this until 2010, when the Gundam 00 movie is released.

Ever since the start in the 1970s, Gundam keeps on repeating certain concepts that needs to remind people about the human condition and how we should be more alert to such problems. Gundam 00 may be a similarity to Wing in terms of how the main character is, but it's a constant reminder of what can happen if we leave certain issues unresolved. That' what I find so appealing of the Gundam series, despite the constant repetitions of the hidden messages that some fans don't notice is that it keeps engaging my mind in terms of the issues that are brought up and constantly makes me think. There's a part from the Gundam Wing film Endless Waltz that always kept me thinking in which Heero tells Wu Fei that constant fighting makes the effort for peace become wasted. I agree and disagree on some parts of it. Even though certain characters have their reasons for fighting in 00, there is some irony that for some reason is not too far from our own.

When i first heard of Gundam 00 i wasn't really like omg i want to see but after i found it on English dub i watched and i began watching and watching, I wasn't able to stop watching. I still can't stop screaming every time something good happens :)) i fell in love with it, Gundam 00 will always be one of my favorite Animes! i won't forget it ( i donwload all the episode to my ipod :]] ) ! so yeah this anime is worth watching and buying :)) oh theres also a second season there dub and sub, sub is already done, but dub is around 20/21 episodes done in dub.. so there close to finishing . But i say you should watch Gundam 00 if you love action, mecha, and just cool anime! :))

Story Of the Show(LOL): In this story, there is a person name setsuna with his gundam:[EXIA].
But I can't really remember this show very much...LOL Anws this show has both romance,fighting & saddenss...
At the last ep, quite alot of people died,and if i remember,i was crying that time as it was very sad...Setsuna too gt injured,
but I do not know if he survived,as he floated in space with his recked gundam for 4years...I haven't watched the second season so
not sure>< but if I have watched I will write what happened.(LOLX!~) And today,I went to see Gundam's 30th annivassary (dunnoe isf correct spelling) at a expo which contains all gundam shows & gundam toys! They were absolute cool!! And I was jumping 4 joy...

To be honest I dont like this series, but it has me hooked. I can not really say anything bad about this series or anything good.
Storyline:
Gundams in this series were created to bring a end to war. That is what Gundams stand for. Gundams fight, people get mad, try to bring down Gundam and that is basically what you have. The science in Gundam 00 was pretty realistic and the fights were not like Seed Destiny where you have super high broken gundams. You are pretty much lose in the story until the second season.

Music: Def one of the best.

Characters:
Setsuna is like Heero but Heero from Gundam Wing, but a bit different because he loves his gundam and worships it, while Heero likes to destroy his.
I have to say everyone is interesting but Tieria and Setsuna. But they are pretty dull of a character =/.

Animation: Not much improvement from Seed, but the designs are new and good looking.

Yes, it keeps you hooked for some reason.

I thing that these show is vary good, the shows detall is all most perfert, most of the mobile suit gundam show have little to no background but on these show the character tell you almost everything and the reason they fight most gundam shows dont even tell you that. the music goes with the theme of the episode and the storyline make sence for ones. overall the these show is vary good.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Gundam Animes, but I thought I'd give it a try. 5 episode in and there is still no character development. We have no idea who these people are, what they are about, why they are doing what they are doing, where they come from or anything else. The plot is sooo basic and been done before. On the plus side the animation is nice, however there is fan service represented in the obnoxiously gigantic breasts on all the female characters. Comparing this show to a show like Death Note, would be like comparing night and day. Basically it's pretty to watch, but the characters and plot are severely lacking.
