Makai Senki Disgaea

I have all 12 episodes of this series on DVD across three separate volumes, and have watched it twice round so far and despite not ever having played the game series to this which is where it originates from, I found it to be a lot of fun and very quirky and entertaining to say the least as a stand-alone anime series all the same.

The three main characters (The Demon King's son Laharl, his vassal Etna & the angel Flonne) all have very different & unique personality traits that constantly clash throughout in very comical and amusing ways with each episode, along with a great cast of supporting characters who get in the way along the way, in the form of the humans Gorden & Jennifer & their robot Thursday.

The opening & ending theme songs used in this are good also, along with it's animation style & design also.

I highly recommend this series if you're after a bit of light-hearted fun in an anime with no complications.
