Malek Werner

I am very sad that more people have not heard about this awesome show (granted I know it is TVMA). I am a big fan of it and the character who cemented my love for this show was Malek. Yes I love the other characters too like Joseph and Sasha Jobson and Xargin is pretty bad ass too. Not to mention Amanda is freakin hot (beside the point). However when Malek's story started being told that is what really brought me in. Reason being is that I can REALLY identify with this character. I have felt his pain and I believe that both the English and Japanese actors played the part remarkably well (shout to Micah Solusod on his first lead role). The pain of being bullied in school for no reason other than just being you. The feeling of wondering why is God doing this to me when he is supposed to be there for people in times like this? The burning hatred for those people who has caused you pain. And the desire to make them pay with their lives. All of this pain I have felt before. (Don't worry Im fine now and don't need a shrink, plus Im a lot bigger now and play college football so people know better than to piss me off). Then the realization of the fact that the pain of hurting others is far worse than any physical pain a person can feel. Almost all of the scenes in his arcs made me cry a bit because it made me remember. And at the same time it made me forget and forgive. Anyways I do think this is an underrated character in a VERY underrated show. I want to thank Gonzo and Nitroplus for creating this awesome anime and Funimation Entertainment for bringing it to the states.
