Yozakura Quartet (夜桜四重奏 ～ヨザクラカルテット～, Yozakura Karutetto?) is a manga created by Suzuhito Yasuda published by Kodansha in Japan 2006, then published by Del Rey in 2008. In July 2004, originally Suzuhito Yasuda was supposed to do a demon series with someone else writing the story, but later his editor suggested that he should make a manga of his own. In January 2005, he came up with a series called Glorious Life which was a prototype for Yozakura Quartet. It was set in Sakurashin just as Yozakura Quartet was set in, however the editor-in-chief shot it down. Then his editor suggested that he should make three girls and a guy as the main characters and that they are demon hunters for hire and to make it something similar to Charlie's Angels which in August 2005 was named Yozakura Falsetto. However that too was shot down by his editor-in-chief. Then he was told that this is his last chance to fix the series, which in October 2005, it was finally accepted. During that time, his editor-in-chief suggested the title should be Yozakura Quartet instead of Yozakura Falsetto. So the series began in January 2006. Then the series was televised in Japan in October 2008 produced by Nomad.
