I first decided to watch this drama after reading a couple of great reviews on various people's blogs, so I had high hopes for the drama. Sadly I felt rather let down - but it was still worth watching.
The story revolves around Rainie Yang, a young, slightly crazy, extremely unfashionable, middle class loony tune named Xiao Hua. Xiao Hua is known for being funny, whilst not really understanding when people are trying to insult her.
Her childhood friend Jia Si Le returns from Japan as a rich bachelor who has recently lost weight and become a real hottie. Xiao Hua meets Si Le and decides that she wants to become an upper-class wife and begins dating Si Le, much to his family's despair. In order to win over Si Le's family, Xiao Hua employs the help of Si Le's best friend Tang Men, a famous stylist.

In true TV style, Xiao Hua begins to fall for Tang Men, despite his bad attitude and constant insults. As the story progresses, the audience watches Tang Men and Xiao Hua becoming closer and closer leaving Si Le out on the curb.
The acting is purposefully over-dramatic, causing many laughs at the screen annotations. The script also proves humorous; though predictable in true romcom style. Surprisingly, the drama also provides an unexpectedly important back story involving the parents of the main characters, causing serious questioning of Xiao Hua's love life!
HOWEVER, Rainie Yang's voice seems to have raised a couple of octaves above human for the drama, which does drive one slightly mad after watching a couple of episode's in a row.
I would recommend this drama to anyone who wishes to watch a typical, comfortable story,
and don't forget to watch the extras at the end of each episode, which show Rainie Yang and Wilber Pan fooling around on the set as they attempt to film each episode!
