This story gives us Minguk, a shallow man who frequently throws tantrums at work and home and worships money. He lets his mother browbeat and physically abuse his wife and friends. His wife has given up a skyrocketing acting career and fame to be with him, but he berates and ridicules for having miscarriages, and not being able to read his mind, while freely cheating on and publicly humiliating her.
Yikyung is a woman who, though claiming to be Eri's (Minguk's wife) devoted friend, knows nothing of the suffering her friend has endured for the past six years and for unclear reasons (besides money) sides herself with Minguk upon discovering it. She confides to her own former lover (opponent lawyer) Byun that she would like to see the two patch things up, but she never works to that end. Yikyung garners sympathy from the viewer early on with her tale of a sudden and harsh betrayal that rivals the cruelty her friend has been dealt. It doesn't last long.
Minguk's nearly complete lack of positive character development and Yikyung's aberrant behavior become irredeemable flaws. The story quickly slides into mediocrity and moral dissonance when it starts becoming clear that the red string of romance dramas has decided to lynch Minguk and Yikyung together in it's tenuous strands. Any thoughtful person's disgust will only deepen when they discover Byun's secret and then compare the two men. What could have been a cute story about second chances and the necessity of personal growth, sacrifice, and honesty in a relationship becomes a tribute to callous neglect and selfish irresponsibility.

Definitely a must see in my book. n_n Han Minguk is an outstanding character, and I really admire Lee Sung Jae for his acting skills. Though I'm not much of a critic on acting, the way he portrayed Han Minguk amused me endlessly, and I wouldn't mind seeing characters like him in more dramas. Would make it nicee. XD I also want to compliment the actor who portrayed Ryudong, his character was right up there next to Lee's Han Minguk. I really enjoyed the fan scene, not to mention Ryudong from Orudong's expressions throughout the series were priceless. Now what are you doing reading this for? You could be watching Mr. Big's Lawyer right this second. =P
