1 Litre of Tears

What is there to say . This drama is inspiring . The meaning to this is to live your life to the fullest and be thankful because being alive is such a wonderful thing . Be grateful for everything, don't be greedy also . A girl name Kito Aya (The main charater) has spinocerebellar ataxia and she is fighting and works hard . She uses every energy she has till it's gone . She's my hero . LOVE YOU Kito Aya . I hope you happy in heaven having the best time ever .

One Litre of Tears is a beautiful drama. This drama was full of emotion, I literally cried my eyes out during every episode. I have to applaud the script writers, Egashira Michiru, Oshima Satomi and Yokota Rie for re-telling Kitou Aya's story with so much care and compassion. The main character is a true inspiration.

This dorama is about a girl who was diagnosed with a disease called “Spinocerebellar Degeneration” when she was 15 years old, and was able to continue her life until her death at the age of 25 years old.

The plot is based on the true story of a Japanese girl named Kito Aya, who had the same disease. She kept writing in her diary to remember her experiences until she could no longer hold a pen. Aya simply wished to live until the end of her life, and the purpose of writing in the diary was to remind herself to not give up. She shed tears many times, at the same time encompassed by the rich love and support from her family, friends, and boyfriend. Her diary “1 Litre of Tears” was published after her death, because of its inspiring and courageous message of

“Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.”

One Litre of Tears is some kind of drama. I know that this is a real story based of a diary, but to re-live it must be hard so I give points to the actors who were in this drama. If you want a tear-jerking drama, this is the drama you should watch.

Aya is your average high school student until something tragic happens to her that will make her suffer for the rest of her life. She basically can't do anything about it; but she doesn't give up. The drama revolves around her sickness and how she strives so hard.

Story: Exceptional! It's a story (based off a true story) of a young girl who has spinocerebellar degeneration and her courage to live on even through this cruel disease. It's inspirational and heart breaking. I cried every episode it was so moving.
Acting: Fantastic! Sawajiri Erika played Aya perfectly and I can't see anyone playing the role better. I had never really taken notice of Nishikido Ryo but this drama made me fall in love with him! He was great! The rest of the cast was great too (though Aya's father was a bit over the top, in a funny way).
Music: Perfect for this drama, and so sad... 3/9 was so touching.
Overall: MUST WATCH! especially if you like dramatic and heart-wrenching stories.
