This is an nice love teacher with an student, but it may be all weird but it truely an good anime tho.
I guess since Japan don't like brother/sister love, this anime is based off an teacher/student love from America style. And sadly, they both are meant to be together t'll death xD
Don't take my word on it, just take a look at yourself.

Onegai teacher has a great storyline. Basically it is about a boy, who has a big sickness, where he enters a ''apparent death'' phase when his emotions get too complex for him to handle, and completely stops his bodily functions, his skin is covered with a special chemical that stops the dehydration. In that state he doesn't age at all. Previously he was in that state for 3 years and that's the reason why he has to learn with people who are just 15 years old, while he himself is 18. Although no one knows of his sickness other then his relatives, who he lives with.
While sleeping near a river he manages to see Kazami Mizuho appear in front of him, with a UFO. And the next day he finds out that Kazami is his new homeroom teacher! A bit later he needed to marry her to protect her secret. It might seem like a simple one, and it certainly doesn't have a story with the most plot-twists, as it is just 12 episodes long + a OVA which is basically just fanservice. But it certainly does what it can do with the episodes given (Hence giving i plot which certainly isn't boring.. Though as I said, there aren't too many plot twists.).
The music is melodic, fitting the mood most of the time, but sometimes might feel a bit over-dramatic. Otherwise the song pieces are just great and deserve listening to by themselves .
The Characters are interesting and varied, and you can really feel them ''move'' forward. Although there are some characters that come up quite a lot, but aren't developing at all. It just something you can see really well, as everyone else is developing in a steady pace (Even if it only has 12 episodes.).. Otherwise the atmosphere between the main characters is the main attraction of this anime (For me.). And I affirm that in some parts the atmosphere is really great.
Animation is done really well, and the whole character movement and everything is nothing one could complain about. Although the art style might not fit some people.
Though i gave it a 5/5 this piece certainly depends on the mood of the watcher. For some this may be a piece that moves your heart and pulls you slowly into the anime, and makes you enjoy the great atmosphere. But in some cases, if you expect a anime with action, ecchi or something of sorts, that most of the other animes have, then you're out of luck and won't find what you'd like here.
Everyone might see a different message here. But for me this series is a great one which tells me to always keep going forward!

I purchased this series because someone on amazon.com recommended it to me. I took their advice because I really enjoyed reading his review on Elfen Lied. He said if you liked Elfen Lied you would enjoy this series. He was wrong I really did not feel anything like I felt when watching Elfen Lied. Now if you like anime are perverted and have the sexual maturity of a 15 year high school boy then this is the series for you. This series is basically the dream of every high school boy with a hot teacher. I have been there and I am sure that many of the males reading this review have been there as well. Anyways if you want a series with a good storyline then this is not for you. The writers who wrote the script need to get another job because script was mediocre to say the least. I also felt the the characters were under developed. I spent 27 dollars on this series with shipping and I might as well have burned the money. I could write a better storyline than this one in less than a month in fact I have no doubt I could. I'm just saying it would be best to spend your money on something else rather than this series. I hope this review was helpful and if you do decide to purchase this series don't say that nobody warned you.

with a subpar plotline and less that shallow characters this story is one that works hard at not making you think too hard. sure, near the end it gets tense but nothing you cant solve with a bit of fanservice.
i like the series but its a definite lesson in what kind of anime shouldnt be made.

Overall its awesome. It's a good love story about a kid who has a disease who going in a coma like state that none knows about but his family. And he means Half alien half human who he finds otu her secret and they end up covering for eachother and falling in love. I love the music it like 3 main songs sadly. But I could watch it over and over again. Cause I own it. Adult humor not as preverted and many animes besides the last episode but what last episode isnt in a love story. I think there is a character anyone can relate too or love. Marie is just freaking funny without doing much at all. Just about every anime has a comic relief mascot and thats him.

Its pretty strange, some parts are really not for younger generation though I do have to say that the animation was rather smooth. Most of the story line was pridictable though. Boy Meets girl alien sent to earth. Boy marries alien to keep her secret. Its kind of interesting in that part. oh.... have I mentioned the part about being married to his teacher....... ya....... stranger things have happen I guess.
