The story begins near the time that Oz Bezarius is about to go through the coming of age ceremony. The beginning introduces the characters Oz is the next in line to the Dukedom of the Bezarius family his mom has passed away and he is despised by his father who is always away. He is taken care of by his servants and Uncle Oscar. The story commences with Oz and his sister exploring the mansion where the ceremony will be held. They are at first hiding from one of the maids who is pressuring them to get ready, however Oz wants to explore the mansion more he has his loyal servant, Gilbert, buy him some time. They venture off and end up falling under ground where Oz and Gilbert find a single grave with a watch entangles on it Oz begins to have visions of the Abyss and has his first confrontation with the Bea Rabbit (Blood eyed black rabbit). The girl that appears seems to want to kill Oz but he is brought back just in time. The ceremony is about to begin and Oz tells Gilbert that he wants him to be part of it. Gilbert's strong sense of loyalty makes him refuse the offer but Oz threatens him into it. Every thing seems to be going well but right before the ceremony Gilbert is possessed by the red reapers of Bakersfield. The giant clock that has never made a sound begins to ring when Oz approaches it and at that time he is attacked by the reapers. The reapers are rumored to come drag bad children into the abyss, that was a story that was told to children to keep them in line Oz never expected it to be true. Now he is in confrontation with the myth, they aim to drag him into the abyss and to his protection comes Alice, the Black Rabbit...there is alot more ...its a really awesome story XD


Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. The mystery there begins as Oz unravels the mystery behind Alice, the Abyss and the strange organization know as Pandora. The series features heavy references to Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and can be considered both fantasy and mystery.
