Prince of Tennis

Prince of Tennis is about a 12 yr old guy named Echizen Ryoma and is a young pro American-Japanese tennis player who wants to come first in the world of tennis and defeat his dad, Echizen Nanjiro, a former top-tennis pro who mysteriously retired from it at an early age, and idiotic guy who now likes to look at pervy magazines of girls (ewww, -kicks Nanjiro in the face- ). Echizen goes from America to Japan in Tokyo and there, he attends Seishun Gakuen (青春学園) or it's nickname Seigaku (青学) and attends the tennis club in there to defeat various players. The characters of this series are: Ryoma Echizen (越前リョーマ) main character of the series, Tezuka Kunimitsu (国光手塚), Captain of Seigaku Tennis Club, Shuichiro Oishi (秀一郎大石) Vice-President, Syusuke (Shusuke) Fuji (不二周助) the "Genius" of the club, Kikumaru Eiji (菊丸英二) forms the "Golden Pair of Seigaku" with Oishi, Takashi Kawamura (河村 隆) uses the "Hadokyuu" a dangerous serve that can break one's wrist, Sadaharu Inui (乾 貞治) uses Data Tennis, Takeshi Momoshiro (桃城 武) uses the Dunk Smash and Kaidoh Kaoru (海堂 薫) uses the snake. You'll get it when u watch it. Generally, I think the film is really good, but I LOVE FUJI SYUSUKE THE BEST!!! He's mine girls, and take him away from me, I'll strangle you =.=. WATCH IT.

After watching other's anime from my childhood, I was hooked upon this anime called Prince of tennis, for two years, i watched, read and drew the characters from there. I wasn't sure how i knew about this anime, but i do recall seeing on tv, but in english dub. For those that love tennis or simply enjoy watching sports or even if you aren't too keen into sports, I recommened this anime as well. Each characters are all different and thier play styles stand out each time. The music for openings and endings are catchy and the anime is pretty good as well. You will fall in love with the boys and support the team you like most, how do i know? i had a thing for Seigaku and their ace Ryoma Echizen. but along the way..the more teams appear, the more it got harder to choose but i still loved Seigaku. As the anime progresses, you start to see them grow and that whats make it a entertaining to watch.

This anime was touching yet funny that I laughed my butt off. I love how they automatically show the main character as being cool and strong, and doesnt change his attitude, except he becomes less gloomy lol. Ryoma echizen started out good, and he was able to chow everyone up, espessially the seniors, which acctually got me interested in playing tennis as a freshmen in high school. Also, the animation was amazing, how the serve, or the hits are explained to let us try it, even tho something like Drive B is impossible. Now I am trying hard in tennnis even if my friends say its a pointless sport. POT for the winnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

ryuma ichezen is a good player..a very excellent player who is easy yo solve problems during the match.i know that he can bring seigaku on national tournament.. and also i believe that he can discover new techniques to defeat his opponent..

I love this anime so much- I don't think I can ever explain how much I love this anime and I can't believe that it took me this long to write a review for it. So far I've watched the whole season(s) five times (been a while since I've seen it again) and it gives me exciting feelings every time.

The characters are amazing- hard to believe that they're all 15 and 16 in the anime...they seem more 18-20 than their actual ages... They are kind of cliche, but they're so amazing and take it to such a level that they are not cliche. The only reason I do say they're cliche is that there's the bad boy, and the smart one who's all math and science, and there's the leader who's serious yet has a kind side...

This is a total classic that all anime lovers should watch, and it should be on your list to watch...this is an original masterpiece.

This anime is a story about one amazing, genius tennis player and how he helped Seishun Gakuen rise to not only the state tournament, but also nationals, and helped his teammates actually win the National Tournament. The characters are funny and amusing, the storyline is very well written, the music is really amazing and exciting, and the animation is excellent.

I was probably first introduced to anime by this series. Even thought it's long, it's really worth it to watch it. If you're a fan of tennis, then I would recommand this for sure. Even someone like me, who doesn't play tennis loved this anime. I like how this anime has a lot of hot guys(eheheh) and that there aren't really much recaps like the other animes I watched. Almost every episode made me laugh. I sure learnt a few tips on how to improve my tennis skills too. So, you should keep this anime on your "to watch" list. =)

"Mada mada dane" - Echizen Ryoma

prince of tennis is a shounen manga about tennis(duuhh) I just love the way the artist drew them .. it's so shounen but at the same time shoujo..The battles are INCREDIBLE! especially when it is Ryoma, Tezuka and Fuji's battles. What I don't like about prince of tennis, is almost everything is related to tennis. too much tennis!.. and i don't like the yaio manga of prince of tennis.. but i guess it's not prince of tennis' fault. it's because of the misunderstanding watchers. but there is a point where characters there are really paired up with their teammates.. yeah i'm a yaio fan but I don't like it..

but overall .. I love prince of tennis.. especially Fuji Syusuke.. hehe.. so hot..^^

well, this is a good anime i guess. but there are so many unbelievable attacks that happened.

but i wonder what will happen if they didn't exaggerated the anime'. <_<

well, if they don't over exaggerated it maybe it would be better.

episode 99, the cursed racket... a very funny episode that you would think of prince of tennis as a joketime...

the only thing that keeps bothering me is how did taka san became possessed? the cursed racket is not true, according to the story... and then.... taka san became possessed?
