Synopsis:
Kang Tae Joo is an ordinary employee in a department store. Shin Joon Hyuk’s mind was hurt due to his family’s problems but he has a nice appearance and superior ability. They both fall in love with the heroine, Han Eun Soo, at the same time. Cha Hye Lin is the daughter of a rich shopping mall CEO and she is an aspring fashion designer who has unique tastes and an elegant appearance. Although she is independent, strong, and spoiled, she is hopeless and careless in front of love. After she was betrayed by her first love, Hye Lin stops believing in true love. She then starts to ‘buy’ herself new boyfriends by paying them money and forcing them to sign contracts.
One of these men turns out to be Kang Tae Joo and during their contract relationship, Hye Lin begins to fall deeply in love again. She will be entangled in a love triangle with Tae Joo and Eun Soo, who is Tae Joo’s real girlfriend.

초등학생, 아니 유치원생부터 ‘남친’이니 ‘여친’은 일상어가 되었다.
그만큼 자주 사랑을 하고 자주 사랑에 상처 받고, 또 자주 그 상처는 다른 사랑으로 덧칠해진다.
사랑은 흔한 것이 되었고, 흔하기 때문에 ‘사랑.그까이꺼’ 조금은 무감해져 버렸다.
여기, 그런 요즘을 살아가는 네 명의 젊은이들이 있다.
어디서 보고 들은 것은 많아서 적당히 세련되고 적당히 영악해진 그들.
그래서 목숨 거는 사랑 따위 신파 영화에나 나오는 구닥다리 이야기쯤으로 여기는 위대한 사랑이니 연인이니 하는 말, 촌스러워 죽겠다며 닭살 돋아 하는 그들.
그들이 사랑에 빠진다. 그 흔한 ‘사랑, 그까이꺼’ 에.
냉소적이고 세련된 요즘 애들이 촌티 풀풀 나는 신파 같은 사랑에 빠져 스타일 완전히 구겨지는 모습을 보고 싶다.
똑똑한 그들이 가슴에 사랑 하나 품으면서 좌충우돌 허우적거리는, 불안정한 청춘의 순박한 아름다움을 보고 싶다;
그래서 우리 가슴 깊은 곳에는 아직도 ‘순정’이 꿈틀거리고 있음을 확인해 보고 싶다.
이 드라마는 사랑 그까이꺼 우습게 보다가, 잘난 척 하다가, 멋진 척 하다가, 쿨한 척 하다가, 제대로 큰 코 다쳐 피 철철 흘리는 이야기다.
남 보기엔 허접대고 후져도 내 가슴에 품은 이상 ‘ 위대한 연인’이 되고 마는, 그 때문에 목 놓아 울고 웃는, 때로는 목숨을 버릴 만큼 어리석어지는, 그 어리석음 때문에 더욱 아름다운, 눈부시게 아프고 찬란한 <젊은 날의 초상>을 찡하게 펼쳐보고 싶다.
