Rezo

Rezo the Red Priest (赤法師レゾ, Aka Hōshi Rezo) is a fictional character from the one of the "Five Wisemen of the Age", a light novels and world-famous priest and healer. It is never said exactly how old Rezo is, but according to Zelgadis, he is over a century old. However, he does not look his age (in theSlayers. He isf irst novel, Lina describes him as looking "both young and by Hikaru Midorikawaold" at the same time.) Rezo's only known relative is the original version. InZelgadis Greywords, who is his great grandson.

Rezo was born with one of the seven pieces of Ruby Eye Shabranigdo sealed within his eyes; as a result, he was gifted with superior magic ability and cursed with blindness. Rezo took up studying white magic in dub, he was originally an effort to cure his blindness, not realizing what the by Daniel Cronin. True cause of his blindness was. He began searching for the Philosopher's Stone, believing that it was the key to the Demon King's revival. He eventually obtained the stone, and resurrected Shabranigdo from within himself. In the end, Lina Inverse was able to defeat the Demon King using the incomplete Giga Slave and the Sword of Light with gave the help from Rezo's soul, killing the priest in the process.

It was later revealed that a darker voice and he continued to voice Zelgadis for Rezo had survived and somehow managed to transfer his soul into the remainder of the series Hellmaster's Pot and Zelgadis with him the ghost of Shabranigdo (which wasn't revealed until the Slayers: Evolution-R season). When Lina's group finally found the Hellmaster's pot Pokota resurrected Rezo in order to revive the people of Taforashia from their suspended state. In doing so, Rezo could keep Shabranigdo asleep for as long as he didn't open his eyes. After reviving the people of Taforashia, Rezo wanted to see again even for a moment so he opened his eyes while asking Lina to destroy him once more. Once again, with the help of the completed Giga Slave, Lina destroyed Rezo and the ghost of Shabranigdo with him.
