I've just finished watching this first season of Rosario+Vampire after meaning to make a start on it quite a while back now as it's always taken my interest & I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed watching it from start to finish, although one flaw I do have about it (but only the one) is to just how short it is compared to the manga, which has so many more characters & screnarios that aren't featured in the anime I found, which is a bit of a shame to an extent.

I'm currently reading the manga series aswell at the moment at the same time as watching the anime, but knew I'll soar through the anime faster than what I would the manga, as I'm sure I will when I make a start on the second series Capu2 very shortly aswell, but overall, I still really liked the anime all the same as the storyline is cool, and the characters are all so great & very well animated & colourful (my fave character is Inner Moka Vampire), yet another fun & action-packed ecchi-filled series that I like very much.

I'm not usually a big fan of vampire-themed series, but I make a huge exception for this one most definately!

While attending at college, someone brought in Rosario + Vampire. It looked interesting, so I decide to follow it through to the end. All that time I've seen this anime is something I'll never get back.

The story revolves around Tsukune, a young boy that is transferred to an academy that is apparently run by demons and monsters. He did not know this and neither did his parents, even though they were the ones who got him there in the first place. During his travel, he meets up with Moka, a girl that probably wears the most shortest skirt I've ever seen, because you see her underwear A LOT! Anyway, she happens to be a Class 9 monster, a vampire basically, which is like the trump card of all cards. She could beat up any kind of monster, which is sad considering the fact that her vampire form is not the least bit threatening, thanks to the overabundance of underwear shots. The two, then, proceed to go on misadventures and add more characters along the way, including a 9-year-old witch, a hussy succubus, and an emo ice demon. The rest is pretty much repetitive from then on, they meet a monster they will fight later, they fight it, add in moral dilemmas, Moka becomes Class 9 monster, defeats the monster, happy ending, repeat, for all of the episodes. Sure, there might be some episodes that are interconnected, but those are reserved for the end of the season.

The biggest shocker to me for a show like this is that it has a pretty good orchestral music going for it. Then again, I don't think it's suited for something like this. For instance, Moka's alter ego has a pretty eerie, yet really cool theme when she transforms, but once again, the underwear shots ruin the momentum. The songs for opening and ending I don't really find memorable.

The characters are not that interesting and they don't really change for that matter. Tsukune seems to be a whiny brat who doesn't really change his outlook and doesn't work himself out to become a lot more helpful. He may help once or twice, but most of it is just talking about moral issues and so forth. Moka and the girls are not given any kind of respect since they were short skirts and often times, you will see their panties and you would probably remember their color. Even the 9-year-old girl has a few underwear shots. That's just cruel. There aren't any villains that seem cool or as memorable and serve almost as comic foil for the heroes.

The overall animation is nice and the character design is pretty good, yet I have to mention the underwear shots. There is not a single episode where there isn't one. You'll see it so many times that it doesn't become funny anymore and to me personally, it disgusts me and never do I want to see it ever again. It feels like an insult rather than a joke.

Bottom line, it's not the worst, but it's not the best either. I know it plays out like a comedy, but most of the jokes are not funny and most of them are sex jokes. The hussy succubus's chest seems to get fondled around a lot and have physics that can only exist in men's imaginations. If you like this kind of stuff, then don't let me stop you. I do dare anyone to try a drinking game out of this show. Every time you see an underwear shot, drink up, but by the time the episode is over, you'll get a nasty hangover or die of alcohol poisoning.

Amazing Anime of Vampires

Image I love this anime a lot, although its kinda new but I highly recommend this anime...I like Vampires anime. Tsukune Aono is a normal high school freshman who is unable to get into any private school, due to his dismal grades. The only school he is finally accepted into turns out to be a secret school for supernatural monsters and mythical creatures (youkai), who are disguised as humans. The first student he meets is the beautiful Moka Akashiya, who becomes his friend for an unusual reason; not only she is a vampire attracted to the sweet taste of his blood (and Tsukune's only, it turns out), but because Tsukune was Moka's first real friend she had ever made. Tsukune quickly realizes his admission into a monster school must have been a mistake and fears for his life.

Despite Moka's vampiric nature, she is a kind girl and Tsukune quickly falls for her. Moka also quickly falls in love with Tsukune after they meet. He decides to stay and be near her, despite the various dangers. He must hide his human identity from the faculty and other students, while trying to keep his grades up and avoiding conflicts with the various not-so-mythological monsters lurking around campus. Tsukune soon discovers that when he removes the "rosario" around Moka's neck, she transforms into a super-vampire, stronger and more powerful than almost any other creature at the school. However, in this state, she has an entirely different, often cold and merciless personality, so the rosario is only removed in dire emergencies. Tsukune is the only person who can physically remove it to transform Moka, and only in the case of an emergency (the rosario remains physically bound to Moka, while Tsukune attempts to willfully remove it in a moment immediately preceding, and sometimes interjecting - a malignant situation).

As the school year continues, Tsukune becomes involved with other students who start out as enemies but who are won over into becoming his friends: Kurumu Kurono, a succubus who originally fixated on Tsukune as both a means of propagating her species and a weapon against Moka (whom she originally hated for attracting all the male students away from her); Yukari Sendo, an eleven-year-old witch who is the smartest student at the academy (but prejudiced against by the other students since witches are not truly considered monsters, but somewhere between monsters and humans) who developed a major crush on Moka after Moka defended her against a pack of bullies; Ginei Morioka, a second-year student who is not only the President of the school Newspaper Club but also a werewolf and a pervert who can't understand why Moka is attracted to Tsukune and not to him; and Mizore Shirayuki, a yuki onna who began by stalking Tsukune believing them to be soulmates. However, after Tsukune befriends each of the girls, they become friendly rivals along with Moka for Tsukune's affections and members of the school Newspaper Club with Tsukune and stand by him even after they learn that he is really a human. In Season Two Moka's sister Kokoa is introduced, a girl who is obsessed with meeting Moka's other half, her 'onee-sama' ("big sister"). Using the narrator and her pet bat, Ko, she attempts to release Moka's other half on many occasions, which always results in failure. Soon she calms down and almost befriends the Newspaper Club members
