Ryu Shi-won (born October 6, 1972, Seoul) is a Korean actor and singer.

After he made his debut in the KBS drama '느낌' ('The Feeling') in 1992, Ryu pursued a singing career. While it's Ryu's ambition to be a full-time singer, he's better known as an actor, having appeared in a number of Korean TV dramas including 'The Truth'.

There is a number of k-drama fans still struggle to believe that Ryu Shin-won is the same Ryu who sang a number of songs for the OST of Korean drama, 'Winter Sonata' (a.k.a. 'Winter Love Song')

'Ryu Shi-won the actor' rarely mentioned his other persona 'Ryu the singer' and vice versa, probably due to his aversion from associating his singing career with his acting career. The shyness itself is probably due to the fact that he is the descendant of a former Korean Prime Minister. This is, however, unverified, so it's a speculation at best.
