(高橋弥七郎, Takahashi Yashichirō
?) is a Japanese novelist best known for the creation of the Shakugan no Shana
series. Shakugan no Shana series was adapted into a radio drama, manga, anime, and a video game. In addition, it was adapted into a movie on April 21, 2007. Takahashi also made another series entitled A/B Extreme, which won Honorable mention in the 8th Dengeki Novel Prize. Most of his work includes references to the tokusatsu Choukou Senshi Changéríon

Having reclaimed the Reiji Maigo and his existance, Yuuji sets out to make a choice. However, as he makes his way to the Illumination Festival on Christmas Eve, a voice suddenly reaches out to him through the Reiji Maigo. It tells Yuuji of a plan that would forever change the fate of Shana, and bring peace to the world...
Wishing for nothing but Shana's happiness, Yuuji agrees to this plan and disappears from the city...
4 months later:
Shana and the others have been feverishly searching for Yuuji since his disappearance. Their only hint: two letters to Shana and Yoshida. One evening, Shana suddenly senses the presence of a Tomogara from the Daitetsu Bridge. Being her duty as a Flame Haze to investigate the anomaly, she heads out, putting her search on hold.
Approaching the bridge, Shana sees a small figure atop the western tower. Touching down on the eastern side, she stakes out her opponent. However, what she sees brings both joy and a sudden realization of sadness. Yuuji.
