Overview
Rex Goodwin, called Rex Godwin (レクス・ゴドウィン, Rekusu Godowin?) in the original Japanese version, is one of the main characters of the anime series Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

A seemingly cold and calculating man willing to sacrifice innocent lives in order to preserve his utopia, Goodwin serves as the series' supposed main antagonist for the first season, but during the second season he becomes more of a suporting character as well become a more complexes one, fist by telling Yusei the true about the Satellite and even provides him(Yusei) a ride back to the Satellite. The word "Rex" is latin for king. This demonstrates his influence and power in Neo Domino City.
