Overview
Shuya Nanahara (七原 秋也, Nanahara Shūya?, romanized as Shuuya in the manga adaptation) is a fictional Japanese student and one of the three main protagonists of the violent and controversial novel, manga, and film Battle Royale. In the English-language manga he is nicknamed Shu.

Shuya is played by Tatsuya Fujiwara in the 2000 film and the sequel Battle Royale II: Requiem.
