I absolutely loved it.

Skip Beat! gives a new look to showbiz. Not only does it make us laugh with its refreshing and hilarious story, its running gags (like her posters of Sho and Ren), and its lovable characters, it helps us realize that as long as we persevere, we can reach the top sooner or later.

Then again, probably never. Ah, well.

Just watch the anime and let the craziness of Skip Beat! drive out all your problems away for the time being. You can always take care of your homework or papers later. Hahahahaha... Joke!

In my opinion, Skip Beat is one of those rare animes that truly make you laugh and smile. The characters are awesome and the storyline itself is absolutely hilarious! The personality of Kyoko is unlike any other because it's unique and extremely entertaining (besides, what other character has demonic spirits as minions? O_o). However, one of my most favorite things about Skip Beat is that there isn't a bad guy. I know most people would say that Sho was the jerk of the story, but personally, I don't think Sho is all that bad. In fact, without him, there wouldn't even be a storyline, let alone an interesting one! And of course, we have Ren! What I love most about Ren is that he's not perfect, even though it's the image that most people have of him. He has flaws and problems just like any other person, except he covers them up pretty well (Well, maybe not so well from Yashiro. LOL!) Overall, I absolutely adore Skip Beat because I could watch the show over and over again without ever getting bored. Kyoko, Ren, and Sho are just a few of the characters that make the show so great. SKIP BEAT ROCKS!

OMG!!! I really like this anime, it's just great. At first I hate Kyoko not because I didn't like her but because I didn't like the fact of her being so blind about Sho. But once she decided to take revenge I started to like it a lot, specially because a love Ren-kun and his manager. Also I love the characters of Maria and Kanae. ^^ Besides the story line is excellent, just like the music and animation.

The only thing that I don't like very much is the fact that Kyoko let it pass many opportunities to show her true feelings.

Non-magic and real life based anime! The young girl was tricked by the one she loved just to use her as a stepping stone to become a famous actor and the girl was left all along after sacrificing her high school life.
How will she get revenge?
By betting him by his own game of course!~

Skip Beat! features Kyoko, a girl wholesomely devoted to her "boyfriend" Shotaro. As soon as he kicks her to the curb (and in a believable fashion, thank goodness,) she becomes completely evil and swears revenge on him.

That is the premise, and hooray! They stick to it. The main thing driving this anime is its characters, and finally we have some differentiation on the whole "Shoujo girl genre means 1. really nice, kind, feminine heroine, 2. spunky, cute, energetic, cheerful spazz heroine, 3. wilting flower heroine, 4. tsundere..." thing. Skip Beat!'s creators really took effort into making their characters, and that's where the anime truly shines. Kyoko isn't just some girl who believes in the good of everybody and can magically dispense brilliant advice that, in a roundabout fashion, makes all of the men near her fall in love with her. She's a believable character, who in her innocent naivete devoted herself to a jerk, and as soon as she is kicked to the curb she gets PISSED. As I'm sure most people would. But when she gets pissed, she gets PISSED!! Just watch the first episode and you will understand. This character is fresh and unique, thankfully breaking the mold from the kind, thoughtful, BLEGH main heroines of most shoujo anime.

Shotaro also does. He is a complete jerk, and they don't try to cover this up with some kind of Moe habit to make us like him more. He's just a completely selfish and arrogant jerk, and aside from that, the anime leaves you to decide how to feel about him.

Ren... is... Ren. (Actually I really, really like Ren because... >.< I've a crush on a guy who acts like him... so I can't really say anything here as it would be biased.) I'll leave this blank, but I assure you, he doesn't fit the typical "Bad guy hates girl likes girl loves girl and girl heals his troubled past" mold either (at all, actually).

Overall I love Skip Beat! with a passion. It reminds me of previous loves I've had, and Kyoko overcomes obstacles in truly ...unique... ways. The characters are new and refreshing, and this show just never gets old. It truly deserves a second season. Ah well, off to read the manga.

I LOVED the whole show!! I miss-clicked on the rating button otherwise it would have been Five stars all the way! The only thing that I was unhappy with was the ending...this anime NEEDS a second season like peanut butter needs MILK! So I've started reading the manga so as to get my Skip BEAT! fix! All in all I HIGHLY recommend this anime!

Kyoko Mogami is a young, sweet, innocent, carefree girl who is head-over-heels for Shotaro Fuwa since childhood.
The two lived out in the countryside of Japan. Once in middle school Shotaro asks Kyoko to come with her to Tokyo so that he can become a famous singer. Once he reached his Fame in Tokyo he became known as FUWA SHO, and Kyoko was thrown away by her "Prince Charming".

From that point on Kyoko Mogami the "ONCE WAS young, sweet, innocent, carefree girl" became no more. Sho had unlocked her "Pandora Box", and she swore that she would gain revenge and that she would become better than him and beat him to the pulp!

The only way to majorly CRUSH Shotaro, was to become a celebrity bigger and brighter then he was. She had to give herself a new look and then began her pathway to her Vengeful Fame! But so many obstacle comes her way to Fame and is found with surprisingly many enemies... or allies?

So many mixed feelings come to this anime, its like a whirlwind!!~ Just Gotta Love IT~!!!!

this is one of the types of animes that you might never forget ^^
its has comedy, romance, life, acting, and... revenge of a strong-willed girl ^^;

Reason[s] it is awesome:
This anime amazes me in many different ways, I think my main
reason it amazes me is because... it is simply unique ^^. The story
line to the characters' personality, goes beyond the obvious!
Many manga / anime creators usually put a lovely romantic scene...
but what about a heart lost of hatred? Thinking about simply catching
the reader's / viewer's attention is through this idea makes this anime
interesting.

Focus on the beginning:
Kyoko's strong will also makes me continue to read the manga.[I think
the anime will have a season two. This anime doesn't seem complete]
Usually the girl's reaction when dumped is being sad and crying all day for a few days.
Kyoko on the other hand, tries to get revenge. I suppose you would ask
how? Well she gets revenge by on going on to stardom! [read "info" for more
details...]

Focus on the middle & end:
You know that when I was pretty intrested when I saw that now acting has become
part of Kyoko and this was the part of the "turn of the storyline", it is when she
appreciates the acting and mostly starts to like Ren. It makes a new change from
the story. ^^
