Well what else to say that I love it...I loved seeing Teo sing and Cindy being chipper ... It was really entertaining and in the same really taught the real values of having a supportive family and a positive attitude toward life. It was also nice to see the male lead trying hard not give in into following is dreams blindly and forgetting what's really important.

I decided to watch this drama after watching Invincible Shan Bao Mei, another drama with Nicholas Teo as the lead male.
Storyline: The drama begins with a girl named Cheng Xiao Shi, who on her balcony, wishes upon a star for successful love. The next day, the concert of a famous pop star, He Qun, takes place. During the concert, He Qun is presented with a special guest, Rita, his childhood friend and supposed girlfriend. After Rita gets off the stage, He Qun sings another song, and sees Rita leave with his nemesis younger brother, Ah Zhe, who only came to pick up Rita to tick off his elder brother. Meanwhile, Cheng Xiao Shi has been dumped by her 17th boyfriend, after a relationship of exactly three months. She had never been in a relationship that had exceeded three months, which was a curse placed on her by her supposed first boyfriend, Ah Zhe. After the concert, He Qun is angered in a press conference and runs out of the building for some fresh air, away from following paparazzi. He accidentally runs into Cheng Xiao Shi, making her fall on him and kiss him unintentionally. In order to not arouse the idea among the media that a scandal had taken place, He Qun's manager, Vincent, declare them fiancées, which Cheng Xiao Shi only agrees with because she does not want to disappoint her family with news of an unsuccessful relationship once more. Over time, with several indirect exchanges and misunderstandings, He Qun and Cheng Xiao Shi develop feelings for each other. I believe the storyline for this drama is unique and my overall impression of the drama is satisfied.
Music: The music contributed largely to the drama's feel; it's importance was almost like the carbon dioxide that makes up a soda.
Characters: I would say that nearly all of the characters in this drama had good intentions, for the most part. No one was truly an antagonist. Cheng Xiao Shi had a strong personality throughout. He Qun was stubborn and had a hard time admitting the fact that he liked her. To be honest, if it hadn't been for He Qun, I would've thought that Ah Zhe would also be good with Cheng Xiao Shi. He helped her throughout the times she was down and such, being very supportive at the same time. Rita changed for the better in the end, though she was never that bad at first. She wasn't cruel, just unsure and not yet decided. Also, He Qun should've known how to control himself to not kiss Rita. How he was forgiven so easily, how he was let off, and how everything made him look like he really hadn't done much wrong, was unrealistic. I enjoyed He Qun's and Ah Zhe's reconciliation; it was heartwarming. My personal favorites are Ah Zhe, Vincent, and He Qun's mom.
Acting: It was done well. All actors played their parts very well; a clear message of what the drama was supposed to mean rang out to watchers, at least, to me, successfully.
Additional: It's funny because while watching Smiling Pasta, I was also watching a Korean drama on Crunchyroll called Seeking Love, and noticed some similarities. Both deal with a couple who are in a contractual relationship. And if I remember correctly, both of the male leads said to the female lead something along the lines of: Even if you're the last person on Earth, I will never fall for you. Of course (and it is also foreshadowed), the male lead ends up falling for the female lead anyway, not-so-ironically, considering how the drama partially deals with romance.
Vincent's little burst at the end kind of got me thinking second thoughts about him. I couldn't decide what his motive was, or whose side he was on, whether it was the side of the entertainment industry or He Qun's freedom of happiness. But overall, I like him very much; he is a great supporting character in the development of the storyline.
Overall: Some would think that this drama is better compared to the other drama Nicholas Teo stars in, Invincible Shan Bao Mei, but I don't quite share that opinion. I suppose it's the effects of watching Invincible Shan Bao Mei first compared to watching this drama first. However, it was a lovely drama, and it was most certainly worth my time.

This is the story of Chen Xio Shi and He Qun. He Qun is a famous singer who is constantly followed by reporters. Xio Shi is a cheerful girl that lives with her family in the restaurant "Smiling Pasta". One day fate brings them together, and Xio Shi has to act as He Qun fiancee, while He Qun is in love with his childhoodfriend Rita, who is in love with He Qun's younger brother Ah Zhe.
This drama is really funnny and full with interesting stuff. I like so much He Qun and Xio Shi's relationship, he is so cute when he calls her Turtle Girl and so funny when she calls him Jinx.
Xio Shi's family is so warm, her mother is a super mom, and his brother is such a good and typical brother.

Story: Xiao Shi had been through 17 relationships, none that lasted more than 3 months. She was cursed with a three-month curse. Right after she was dumped by her 17th boyfriend, a famous idol, He Qun runs past, bumps into Xiao Shi, and they end up "kissing" on the street. Paparazzi took pictures of them "kissing," so to avoid a bad reputation He Qun’s manager declared Xiao Shi as He Qun’s girlfriend of one year and fiancée. Thus, a love contract was made. I can see how it was based off the Korean Drama Full House, but with a different kind of twist that makes it even more interesting.
Acting: Cyndi Wang was fantastic and cute. Nicholas Teo was great, and acted perfectly for this role. And on top of that he's a great singer and is way hot.
Music: Loved the music, especially Tears From Polaris and Little Turtle.
Overall: I loved this drama. It was completely enjoyable and definately worth the watch.

Plot: Smiling Pasta is a heart-warming and touching story about a young girl, Cheng Xiao Shi, who has a curse that none of her relationships will last for more than three months. She is on her way to meet her current boyfriend who promised her that she could meet the most important woman in his life. Thinking it was his mom, she agrees to go meet him, and it just happens to be their 3 month anniversary. That day she finds out her boyfriend was cheating on her and they break up. This same day, an idol star, He Qun, is being chased by reporters and accidentally bumps into Xiao Shi, causing their lips to meet. He Qun is known as the "Prince of Pop" and behind his acts of having the perfect life, he is actually very lonely. For example, when he was younger, he and his brother started a band. It Included He Qun, his brother, Ah Zhe [obviously], Rita, Xie Rou and a 2 other friends. After completing their first composition, Xie Rou who was Ah Zhe's girlfriend, gave it the name "Tears of Polaris".. While they were going to celebrate, Xie Rou fell into a rushing waterfall and her body was never found. Since that day, Ah Zhe blamed He Qun and vowed to never trust him again. He then left home and He Qun and his father were also on bad terms after that. Now, Rita was He Qun's best friend/girlfriend, although everyone knew the person she truly loved was Ah Zhe, but Ah Zhe still had a wound in his heart from Xie Rou.. On the day of Xiao Shi's and He Qun's accidental meeting, Rita had left He Qun for Ah Zhe. That is where it all started. After receiving the pictures, He Qun's manager, Vincent, decided that Xiao Shi and He Qun would have to pretend to be fiancee's in order to escape the media and family matters. However, what happens when reporters follow you 24/7 and everything you do could ruin your whole reputation? Well you should check it out in Smiling Pasta.
P.S. : I promise you that anyone who watches this drama will enjoy it as much as I did. It's full of laughter and happiness, but it also has its sad moments. And if you're not much of a romance drama person, theres also some action for you! [not much, but some!] So I encourage all of you who are reading this review right now to check this drama out when you have some time! ;D

I really recommend 'Smiling Pasta' for anyone who loves a good, funny, romantic-comedy. The characters in the drama are just so cheerful yet human that you grow to really love them. Although though their acting sometimes was a little dramatic, they kept you laughing throughout the drama. And, I admit, I felt like pummeling the main guy in the drama sometimes. This is a really really short review but this drama is a must-see. The music is great too! After watching this ya gotta check out Nicholas's music =)
Happy Viewing!!!!!

This romantic comedy revolves around two young adults, Xiao Shi and He Qun. Xiao Shi is an optimistic girl with a pure heart, but with an unusual curse following her. Every relationship she has last only for 3 months. He Qun is a lonely popular musician in love with his good friend Rita. Unfortunately for He Qun, Rita is in love with his younger brother, Rui Zhe. Xiao Shi and He Qun meet accidentally one day and consequentially agree to act as if they are engaged to help He Qun's reputation. Trouble is hurled at the young couple from the media and their own stubbornness. This story is ultimately about how Xiao Shi and He Qun fall in love and how they attempt to stay together despite their differences and interference from the media.

This drama was very good. So its basically about how a girl meets a famous singer. Shao Shi stays at He Quns house and the guy who helps He Qun (famous singer is He Qun) Vincent fabricates a story that Xiao Shi is engaged with He Qun. This drama has its twist and turns. Some parts make you so eager you have to skip to it. Other parts make it so sad that you can't watch it. While other parts also make you can't stop smiling. Basically this drama is about treating the loved one you love for real, and taking the time to know each other. Which means that rushing love will only make things worser for your relationship. I hope all who watch this drama enjoyed it as much as I did and realize the plot of this story and the meaning.
