SoltyRei (ソルティレイ) is a Japanese anime series by Gonzo and AIC combining attributes of drama and sci-fi, about the inhabitants of a city where an Aurora prevents aerial travel. It is directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike and co-produced by TV Asahi, Gonzo and AIC with music by Toshiyuki Ōmori.

On 2006-04-02 FUNimation Entertainment confirmed at Anime Expo that it had the rights to distribute SoltyRei. Prior to this, a fansubbing group had reported receiving a cease and desist letter from FUNimation Entertainment with the English name of the anime given as Origin, although the name seems to have been confused with Origin: Spirits of the Past.
