Overall i liked it .. Thought it did take me a bit of time to finish... i blame my boyfriend haha. Anyways the storyline is great. Temptation, money, power, mutation, and of course photography ... lol. The anime had everything it took to be a great anime.. but it just felt like something small was missing. The music ... i did actually pay attention and it wasn't that great .. they only played a few songs and it got annoying after a while. The characters. I love Chouji Suitengu .. simply awesome job.. even the english voice was great. Saiga.. i liked him but i felt at times he was a bit to emo lol i don't know why. Kagura.. didn't really like her. All she did was cry and complain and when someone was actually in love with her she wanted to die. Sometimes i just wanted to slap her. I liked how it didn't have to much uhh mature scenes i guess.. they put the right amount of skin on the screen. The animation was pretty good .. i liked how the put detail into the bad guys when the morphed into their true form.. The Prime Minster grossed me out. It was a good anime but i'm not to sure i'd watch it again.. Once is enough for me xP

Speed Grapher is a very demented, yet thrilling anime. Directed by
Kunihisa Sugishima, and animated by Gonzo says that the anime is bound
to have a good story to it. Gonzo anime tends to have a certain quality
to it that sets it apart from other anime, maybe not as much as Takeshi
Koikes’ artwork, but of great quality regardless.
Speed Grapher has a great suspense to it, and amazing planing.
Character development is not lost, in fact it’s shown that it can be
great. In the end I found myself actually wanting both
Saiga(Protagonist), and Suitengu (Antagonist) to be successful in their
plan. The reason for this is because they actually demonstrate fantastic
development of the antagonist that makes it so once Suitengus’ main
plan is revealed, there’s a symbolism to it that makes it perfect for
his character.
The story begins with Tatsumi Saiga, an ex-War
photographer, Getting a hint about an underground club filled with the
top executives of Japanese society. Saiga cares less about money, and
more about sentimental value, and truth. When he executes a break-in to
this literally underground club, he discovers that they use a under age
girl in a ritual, In an attempt to save her he ends up receiving the
ritual, which triggers a euphoria factor causing his deepest desire to
become possible(I’ll let you watch, and find out what it is!). He ends
up breaking the Girl out of captivity, and going on the run. I leave the
rest for you to watch but I will say now that Saiga does NOT have a
Lolicon Complex!
If you’re the type who liked Anime like Dragonball Z because they
will have villains with no motive other then “I WANT TO RULE THE
WORLD(S)!”, and you believe you’d not like another type of agenda within
an antagonist, this is NOT the anime for you. However if you prefer a
more realistic, and greatly detailed story, with a twist of Sci-fi then
Speed Grapher is ABSOLUTELY for you!

Happy viewing!

This anime gives you many strong points as well as twists and turns, like all good anime should. It offers a well mixed and played out variety of genres to the viewers, who should exclude only young children, as it contains scenes of intense sex and violence. It focuses on its main plot extremely well, but doesn't limit content in any way, giving mixes between psychological events, well-developed mystery, and action that anyone can enjoy. It fits very well into my Top 10.

Dodge the lens of the camera as best you can, not because your having a bad hair day or just feeling a tiny bit shy, but because anything caught by Saiga's cameras instantly explodes.

Saiga is a famous war photojournalist, reduced to the everyday job of a bottom feeding paparazi, that is until things take a turn for the worst. Following a trail of corruption and murder Saiga uncovers a bizarre ceremony being held by an elusive underground society. When his cover is blown, it seems like the end, until the object of the ceremony, a so called goddess, gives him his one true desire. To destroy the things he takes photos of.

With camera in tow, Saiga takes the goddess hostage and to his surprise she's just a simple school girl named Kagura, unaware of what shes been doing. Both wanting to get away from the sinister underground society, they make a break for it. But it's not so simple when there are others with powers just as strong as Saiga's after them.

The art is of a very high quality, mirroring the style of Takeshi Obata (the artist of Death Note) nearly exactly. It works very well with such serious manga, theres not really many comedic moments, it's fast paced pumping action from beginning to end. It is also very violent and contains pornographic imagery, so obviously better kept to the older audience.

Speed Grapher is a very interesting title, with a cool protagonist, a violent fast paced plot and amazing art. Can't really ask for much more than that.
