WARNING: THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS. CONTINUE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Amnesia, split personalities, dark pasts, amazing music... "Sukisyo" is everything I'd expect from a drama and more, riveting, dark, sexual and all around wonderful for the mature drama lover, though mild enough for those new to or uncomfortable around yaoi and shounen-ai. Though the art isn't as detailed as the original games for which this anime is based, it isn't lacking at all. Here we have a college student who isn't quite your typical anime hero; Sora Hashiba is the kind of guy who just spends his days doing what he feels like when he has time. He complains about classes and doing work, not excessively, and sleeps with a stuffed elephant from his childhood. However, unlike the average teenage guy, he has a split personality named Yoru! When his new roommate (and former childhood friend) Sunao Fujimori appears, complete with another personality of his own named Ran, Sora's life goes to Hell. Sora and Sunao continuously argue and fight; however, their alternate egoes are madly in love. Imagine the shock Sora and Sunao face when the morning after their biggest argument of the week they wake up naked in the same bed! But while life goes on, sinister figures are trying to pull it apart, revealing Yoru and Ran's dark past, as well as Sora's mysterious fall from a building and amnesia. It is mature, but for those who can handle non-explicit sex scenes every now and again, it is the perfect combination of hilarity and darkness. The music is always fitting, all the side characters have a backstory, and the plot is far from lacking. For those who are trying to get into yaoi and are having difficulty because the explicit scenes make you squeamish, I'd especially recommend this series as nothing is shown apart from shadows and faces; it's an ideal stepping stone for those trying to ease themselves into the yaoi genre. I recommend this anime HIGHLY, and hope to see you on an episode's comment board sometime soon!

If you are looking for something with a little intrigue or mystery, a little romance between guys, and a little comedy to boot than this is the show you should watch. The storyline is fairly well carried through from episode 1 to 12 with episode 13 just being a comic relief from the heavy drama ending. The animation art is very nice, part of the reason I started watching it, and there chibi comedy forms are adorable.

Its a story that starts out in the middle, gives you the background information as you go through the episodes and finishes at the end. I like animes that actually finish, though there are some open strings left with its ending it did finish for the most part. You will love the characters and hopefully enjoy like I did that even side characters have depth and story lines all to themselves. They aren't just support cast they are all stories within stories.

Warning, if you are squeamish about mental torture and child torture this has slight parts of it from flash back scenes. The two main characters have split personalities that you will learn why they have them later. You will probably actually enjoy the split personalities almost more than the main personalities the two characters have, especially if you like yaoi. Cause the splits definitely have a relationship going on between the two, while the regular personalities of the two are more in the beginning stages of relationship.

Overall I would rate it 4.5 not perfect cause it doesn't stay totally on track the whole time, and the art could have been better. The 13th episode is actually one of my favorites and cause I had purchased the anime and watched it I didn't realize there was 13 episodes and it wasn't tell I was rewatching it that I realized that it had a 13th episode lol.

Sukisyo- Also Known as my New Favorite Anime

Sukisyo, personally, is an anime I've enjoyed and would watch again if I could find the time. I think it was a very well-done anime and was worth the time. The storyline exceeded my expectations for a shonen-ai anime such as this. The plot was well thought and best of all- barely any fillers. I'd consider the last episode a filler though, but a very enjoyable filler. I loved the split personality idea, because it can be so confusing but at the same time interesting to see how the same face has two points of view.
And the music was very fitting to the scenes as well. Especially during awkward or in a tense atmosphere. So, I liked it. And about the characters, I love them. But I do think a little more practical sense could be made because when Yoru and Sora switch, it's so hard to tell which one's which sometimes. The same with Nao and Ran. And the animation and designs of the characters where very good, I loved the was they looked.
Overall, it's a very interesting anime I'm sure anybody (who doesn't mind shonen ai) would enjoy just as I have.
