they rename it for the franchise coz TOD1 got a bit popular and they didn't know that namco japan would release a sequel for TOD1 which is TOD2 for the ps2 which is the same reason why TOD2(J) wasn't release in the US

This is Tales of Destiny 2 in PSone! Why the rename? Wow, I loved this game soooooo much..haha Tales of Destiny 1 is also great but the graphics part of the game stinks..:p
