The Cro-Magnons are a band created in July 2006 by Hiroto Kōmoto and Masatoshi Mashima previously of The Blue Hearts and The High-Lows.

Masaru Kobayashi on bass and Katsuji Kirita on drums are support members, but according to TV and promotional information, they are effectively official members.
