Tiger and dragon

This has to be one of the best jdramas ever. It is very different from your normal drama series. It's directed by the same director of Ikebukuro West Gate Park. Nagase Tomoya takes on the role of Kotora, a tough yakuza who falls in love with Rakugo (Japanese art of telling comedic stories) despite his fierce demeanor and lack of talent at making others laugh. Some jokes and puns are hard to understand if you don't know Japanese, but the cast in the drama will make you laugh anyways. Each episode incorporates a classical rakugo story into a modern life story. The drama is mostly light-hearted humor but there are some serious parts that will make you cry. But don't worry, something will make you laugh right after it. t is a MUST-WATCH; don't give up on it doesn't seem to capture your attention at first! After watching a few more episodes, you'll get used to unconventional style/format of this series. Also, the drama begins with the SP, so make sure you watch that before episode 1.
