Summary
In college, Dai Sawamura deciphered the figures on the Nazca Plain. Impressed by this feat, the Galactic Union Police recruited the archaeologist and trained him to be Earth's third Space Sheriff in recent years to come. He was named after the ancient warrior named Shaider, who defeated Fuuma and brought down the Mu Empire 12,000 years ago.
The third and last of the Space Sheriff trilogy, with an Earth-born, galactic police force-trained officer taking over Sharivan's job alongside a female deputy. Footage from Shaider was used in the second season of Saban Entertainment's VR Troopers. Shaider was played by the late Hiroshi Tsuburaya, son of Eiji Tsuburaya, the creator of Ultraman. It received a "sequel" in the Philippines in the show Zaido.
