OMG, another one of my favourite magical-girl animes! I love Ayu, she is so awesome! Anyway, you have GOT to watch this, I don't care if you are into shoujo or not!
Ayu Tateishi, a girl who keeps up a facade to be 'cool', knows a secret of Sakura Nina, her best friend. She is a magic girl, and can perform magic with her little mini-computer! Nina keeps this a secret, as you can probably imagine, but that doesn't stop her from using it. She always helps everyone with her magic, such as trying to yet Ayu and Tetsushi Kaji, Ayu's crush. However, she stopped doing this after a while. As the series develops, it turns out that Nina has a different purpose for coming to earth, which is to collect these 'Holy Stones'. The true reason of why she collects these will be revealed later in the anime. They meet more people, and even form a little romantic connection between them.
Characters are awesome, even the rival Maya ('cause sometimes people picture rivals to be snobs and stuff)! The girls look pretty/cute, and the boys look hot/cute! Music? It totally fits in with the storyline! The only thing I'm not too happy about is how Nina transforms everytime she uses her computer, but I let that slide since it's not that much of a big deal.
So, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Don't believe me? Go check it out yourself! I guarantee that you'll love it!

Ultra Maniac is a very touching story about friendship, love, and magic. i just love it! The characters are easy to relate to, and have good humor. The ending has a neat twist, too. I'm glad I watched this anime, and I hope a lot of other people watch it, too. : )
