do you mean to ask "do you wish for a season 3?" or "do you think there will be a season 3?"

if its "do you wish for a season 3?", then my answer is yes.

but if its "do you think there will be a season 3?", then my answer is no. this is because the ending in the anime hardly followed the manga. and in the manga its still not over, and theres much more info to the story that the anime left out. and the final episode in season 2 had a very conclusive feeling to it. even if there was a third season, then what the heck is gonna happen in it? with zero and yuuki and everyone else separated (and missing, in ichijos case), not alot of things are bound to happen, and that would make it boring.

besides, in wikipedia it says that vampire knight is slated to have 26 episodes divided into 2 seasons. there has been no official announcement about a third season, so i wont count on it

The manga's going to end at around volume 10, probably. Then Matsuri Hino-sensei is going to start on a sequel. From what I can understand, Vampire Knight is the first in a trilogy of "Vampire-something" mangas. So, if the anime producers decide to continue, they just might start after the sequel is released (which is going to be a bloody long time).

Hmm interesting question. Let me share my thoughts:

Well there would be a season 3 if :
1: The manga is still ongoing.
2: The writers didn't took all of the plot/story in the manga
3: The anime was succesful in Japan

We could say 1 is true, she is still making chapters, but this goes very slow ( i heard, it varies from 1 a month / 1 half a year)
We could say 2 is wrong, well there are still stuff they didnt took from the manga, but the main plot and story has been taken already (which leaves some minor details left in the manga)
We could say 3 is true, it was a succes (im not sure a huge succes, but it was greatly appreciated by the animelovers in JP)

Well, this means there might be a season 3, but this will be made in a long time. I would expect 2010 or maybe 2011 (this depends on how fast Matsuro Hino is making a chapter, unless the anime wont be following the manga)

If they made a third season, IMO it would mainly follow Yuuki and Kaname running from the Council. Zero would probably follow them to, but not revealing himself. There would probably be an episode dedicated to what exactly happend to Ichijou.

To the people who think Zero is going to hunt Yuuki down and kill her, i dont think this will happen, because:


With this said, i refuse to say Zero will kill Yuuki. Yes im a Zeki fan, but that doesnt mean i dont like the YuukixKaname pairing.
The writers are probably trying to get us confused, so u could make up ur own mind with the 'What if' purposes.

If Zero doesn't kill Yuuki, he'll put shame to his family's name and their tradition of hunting vampires.

That means he either kills himself (suicide, because he is a vampire to)
Or going to suffer again, but this time about killing Yuuki.
Though Kaname wil never let him do that, he'll probably save Yuuki and kill Zero, or be killed by Zero.
But i still dont think Zero will kill Yuuki, i just dont see that happen, after seeing their relationship in VK
Another thing, if Zero kills Yuuki there's nothing to tell anymore
But i dont think that's gonna happen, anyway im to much in the 'WHAT IF (zero kills yuuki)' thing now.
I'll stop and just wait for season 3. (if there ever is going to be one)

As of right now, Kaname & Yuuki are the only 2 purebloods left on this planet... with the exception of one evil pureblood--

Unless the artist created a few more pureblood characters out of nowhere =P
