Wako Agemaki

Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto (STAR DRIVER 輝きのタクト, Sutā Doraibā Kagayaki no Takuto?) is a 2010 Japanese anime television series created and animated by BONES and produced by Aniplex. The series is directed by Takuya Igarashi, with character designs by Yoshiyuki Ito and Hiroka and Misa Mizuya. The anime premiered on October 3, 2010. Aniplex of America premiered the first episode at the 2010 New York Comic Con/New York Anime Festival on October 9, 2010.

This story takes place on an island named Southern Cross Isle. One night, a boy named Takuto washes up on shore swimming from the mainland. He later enrolls in Southern Cross High School as a freshmen and makes new friends. However, underneath the school is a group of mysterious giants called Cybodies. Soon Takuto, The "Ginga Bishonen" (or "Galactic Pretty Boy") sees himself in a fight with a mysterious organization known as "Kiraboshi Juujidan" (Translated to "Glittering Crux Brigade") which intends to take possession of the island's Cybodies for their own purposes and break the seals of the shrine maidens, the protectors of the islands secrets.

Apprivoise (from the French verb "apprivoiser", which mean "to tame") is the term that is used to describe the process by which a Cybody is summoned into active battle. An apprivoisation can occur in one of several ways. In the case of Glittering Star, a member must possess a mask and use it in conjunction with a giant machine that serves as a chamber. They can only summon within Zero Time, not outside.

Undine, Wako, Takuto, and Sugata have the ability to summon Cybodies via the mark on their chest. Takashi is also rumored to have this ability, but it has yet to be proved. Wako has yet to summon her Maiden Cybody. It is unknown if Sakana-Chan still possesses her ability to summon her Maiden Cybody, or if she is unable to now that her seal is broken.

In total, there are rumored to be twenty two Cybodies. Each Cybody is named after a letter in the Hebrew alphabet. According to the alphabet, the Cybodies that have yet to be revealed are Mem, Gimel, Zayin, Haith, Lamedh, Qoph, Res, and Sin.

The main heroine of the series, Wako is a member of Midnight Flight, the school's drama club. She is believed to be a "shrine maiden" that can unlock the seal in Southern Cross Island by Glittering Crux Brigade. She likes to eat and has been engaged to Sugata since childhood. She apprivosed with the Maiden Cybody in elementary school but was only told about her status as shrine maiden in middle school. As long as her seal is intact, she cannot leave the island for the rest of her life. She starts to take a liking to Takuto, a new transfer student that is also the legendary Galactic Pretty Boy. Sugata commented that her singing voice is so beautiful that it can make someone fall for her by only hearing it once.
