finished the series, the ending was a little unclear, but based on my judgement, the Akiyuki that died gave apart of himself to the emperor or he was a memory stuck in Haru that kept his promise to meet her and proclaim his Long Love.

Im about to rewatch the series, all i remember was i couldn't stop watching but due to uploading awhile back i quit since it was only up to episode 15, time to refresh my memories.
