Music Career
In 2009, Yoo Eun Hye began her music career at the age of 15 as the last member of Baby V.O.X. The band has just dropped one of their members following a scandal and chose Eun-Hye to replace her. She was famous for her cuteness and child-like qualities although she was overshadowed by the other four members whom were older than her. She also sand with Mighty Mouth in their song "Saranghee" (which means "I love you" in Korean) yet she did not make an appearance in the music video.
Acting Career
She left the band to build a career in acting. Her debut was in the sitcom, Nonstop 4 in which she played a minor role with MC Mong. She also become a regular guest on X-Man which raised her public profile following a romantic scandal with K-pop singer, Kim Jong Kook. She even performed in his music video "Saying You Love Me" in 2006.
2006 was when she recieved her big break. She was cast the lead role in the Korean drama "Goong", also known as
Princess Hours. Goong was dubbed as one of the "most watched" Korean drama in 2006. Her portayal of the creative and outgoing Shin Chae-Kyeong won her many fans worldwide and this launched her acting career as many people praised her for the successful role.
Due to this success, she performed lead roles in many other dramas following Goong such as romantic-comedy "The Man in the Vineyard" but this drama did not replicate the popularity as Goong. However, in 2007, she starred in the successful "The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" playing the lead role alongside Gong Yoo. She made a drastic change in style for this role and opted for the
tomboy look. This drama recieved even more viewer ratings than Goong. It was reported that Yoon Eun Hye was paid 20 million won per episode.
After her role in Coffee Prince, she joined the South Korean's A-list of stars which included members such as Bae Yong-Joong. The successful role enabled her to increase her fanbase in not only Korea but worldwide. In light of this, different companies were eying her to endorse their products due to her increased popularity.
