Summary
Yoshitsune tells the story of a late Heian general by the name of Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Son of Minamoto Yoshitomo, and younger half brother of Minamoto Yoritomo, he and his mother's lives were spared, while his father was betrayed and killed, and his brother was banished to the Izu Province . Yoshitsune was forced to become a monk, but his refusal to adhere to the Heike made them restless and suspicious. Yoshitsune then had no other choice but to flee to Hiraizumi, and went under the protection of Fujiwara no Hidehira where his fame began to spread.
