Yuri Killianis a fictional character of the anime series Kaleido Star. He is voiced by Susumu Chibain the Japanese version and by Illich Guardiolain the English version.
Layla's co-star at Kaleido Stage, Yuri is a calm and composed person who looks at things objectively. He is always kind to Sora and comes to her rescue on more than one occasion. Behind his Prince Charming appearance, however, Yuri is a scheming person who, unbeknownst to everyone, may have his own agenda at work behind the scenes.
Several years ago, Yuri's beloved father Aaron died on the Kaleido Stage while performing the Legendary Great Maneuver. Yuri suspects Kalos of foul play, since he had trained Aaron specially for that performance; he spends several years preparing his revenge, eventually taking control of the Kaleido Stage. This is maade easier by Kalos not fighting back; according to Sarah, this is because he's felt guilty for years for Aaron's tragic death and how the media treated it.
After taking control of the Stage, he recreates it with the use of computer generated images to make it safer for the performers. It starts out well but slowly over time fewer and fewer people show up till there is barely an audience.
Sora and Layla challenge Yuri, and he promises that he will give the Stage back to Kalos only if they manage to perfectly perform the Legendary Great Maneuver that his father died for. When they do, Yuri realizes that Aaron's death truly was an accident and not the consequence of any complots, so he fulfills his promise and returns the Stage to Kalos, whom he finally forgives. He becomes genuinely kinder after that, and later become Sora's partner in the Circus Festival, taking a brerak of his current work as a painter in Paris.
