Booker Kudo, also known as Yusaku Kudo (工藤 優作, Kudō Yūsaku?) in Japan, is a fictional character of the anime and manga Case Closed, known in Japan as Detective Conan (名探偵コナン Meitantei Conan). Booker Kudo is a famous mystery novelist married to Vivian Kudo. The two have one son, Jimmy Kudo. His original Japanese name Yusaku Kudo refers to actor Yusaku Matsuda and Shunsaku Kudo, the detective played by Matsuda.[citation needed]
