What could I say about Linebarrels of Iron?!
Secret treasures, pirate detectives, space races, and a violin with strings so tight that playing them causes eardrums to burst?! This show's got it all! And let's not forget about Fido-kun, the talking dog with a heart of gold!
With twists and turns around every corner, and an ending too unexplainable for words, you'll be needing to put on your thinking caps just to keep up with all the action!

At first I did not like the main character. He was so full of him self is was hard to watch. But Kouichi finally started to get self control and the fact that he had to loose his best friend brought the harsh reality to home. The story line was at time so funny that I had to hold my sides, there was suspense, and full of twists and turns. Each episode was a surprise and enjoyable feeling, the only draw back is that Kouichi kisses two different girls but the one he comes to love he is so shy with he is not able to say her first name. If you think that you don't like Mecha's this might just change your mind. I did mine.

First off, I have to say that this show is a diamond in the rough. The first few episodes give it a tacky appearance with the overused bratty main character, but taken to an extreme and obnoxious level, however, if you manage to make it past those first few episodes, you will slowly begin to discover just how great this show is.
Linebarrels of Iron made its way all the way up my comprehensive anime list (Previously known as my Top 25 anime list) to the #3 slot. This show was great to say the least. It has action, romance, mechs, cute girls, and a great story. What more could an anime fan ask for? Not all shows start off good, and this one is among them, but as you progress, you will begin to love this show and the story behind it.
This also played a role of diversity in its character casting that made you have a greater appreciation for the show. Animation was excellent, and the music was, well... When you go through 24 episodes with the same opening in every one of them, with the same animation phase, even though the cast is changed constantly throughout certain points of it, you start to want to just skip the beginning altogether. It is Japanese rock, and it holds a great sound, but not the best sound, in my opinion, for an anime of this caliber.

Overall the anime was ok. Nothing spectacular.

In the beginning you see that the main character is a bit annoying with his whining. In fact this whining supposedly turns into a different form (of bravery?) where he just yells alot and pretty much emos out on every occasion.

The anime would have been worse if I could have predicted how it would end, but I only guessed part of it which is why I'm not giving it a 1 star for everything.

Animation was ok, Everything looks pretty, its just you learn to expect more epicness from giant fighting robots. These robots know how to do one thing each, very impressive, two if you count failing.

They try to build characters stories but in the end it all gets thrown away because it wasn't very important.

One last issue I have with this anime and some of its reviews is that everyone seems to think this compares with Code Geass, it does not. In fact it doesn't even come close.

Looking for a good anime? Try something else first. Pretty much every other mecha will do.

I have watched this entire series. I was completely impressed. For me this is something that does not happen often.

The character development and the storyline are excellent. If you did not watch more than a few episodes you may have thought the main character was 'an idiot' but in all good stories as in real life people grow and develop as did the characters in this show.

There were enough plot twists to keep you on your toes and the series ended with closure. In other words you know what happened in the end. (as any good novel will do)

Some companies dont want to write a proper ending and leave everything up in the air. This is not how a novel ends and remember you are not watching am American cartoon when you watch these shows, Basically they are picture books that have been animated.

In any event I give this show 5/5 stars. It could not have been any better. They could actually continue the series even though the show had closure there is much more that could happen.

I just finished watching this amazing series, and can honestly say that I was deeply impressed. Every facet of it was well-polished, and the story built to a fine crescendo with no let-downs. In the interests of being thorough and comprehensive without throwing out spoilers, I'll stick to the 4-point rating system CR put in place.

Storyline: 4.5/5- The storyline is very good. The characters are allowed their fleshing out, and multiple sides of personalities are presented, and each character goes through their own development throughout. While the story is not perfect, I'd compare it to be just short of par with the epic Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. It admirably blended mecha action, "harem"-style anime in the style of Tenchi Muyo, and lighthearted humor in an unfortunately short 24 eipsodes.

Music:4/5- Well placed and executed, though the soundtrack wasn't to my personal tastes. Well-done regardless, and it added to the appropriate points in the story nicely.

Characters:4.5/5- Once again, another solid aspect of this series, each one fills a certain "anime stereotype" niche while still advancing, developing, and changing with the flow of the story. Though I will admit a few of the characters were a bit trite and overplayed for the anime genre, none of the character quirks detracted from the story to the point that it made the show unenjoyable. I found myself cheering, booing, and sighing in relief all within the span of a single episode at the changes and interactions between the characters.

Animation:5/5- The masterful blend of hand-drawn and CGI was visually impressive, to the point that I would put Linebarrels as a solid example of what future anime should look to as a standard. That said, I firmly believe it has earned a perfect score in this field.

Overall:4.5/5- Linebarrels of Iron was a true pleasure to watch. I found myself making time the last few days to watch the series, putting my other hobbies aside. I think that's the mark of a truly good show: When you'd rather watch a show than enjoy your normal pastimes, it must have something impressive to show for it. I also think that while it may not be for everyone's taste, it's definitely worth a chance.

The storyline beginning is similar to some victim become powerful but miss use it. The dynamics between three friends unfolds emotional missed placed, hatred, resentment, and even, love. That term niche a lot of that plenty of that. This victim learns to use power and while joining a group protecting earth. Good to watch and not great deal of time wasted less then twenty-four episodes. Other words, good verses’ evil and a mix with deception, good wins.
