Entertaining and very well thought out.
I'll be brief. Log Horizon is solid. It's got fluid animation, a solid game-like soundtrack, a reasonably intelligent story, an awesome setting, and cool characters.

    Some other good points:
    1) No fanservice. None.
    2) Doesn't take itself too seriously but can easily be taken seriously by the audience.
    3) The MC is a mage! And he has a personality!
    4) It doesn't always focus on the ...

The anime I wanted from SAO
First off, this anime is NOTHING LIKE SAO, other than the fact that they are stuck in an MMORPG. Despite that, SAO was the main reason why I tried Log Horizon out in the first place, so that's what I'll be comparing it to.
Being a MMORPG player and a person who likes to excessively ponder in my free time, I was very intrigued by the premise of SAO and dove straight into it, expecting some ...

    Great anime, very unique.
From the start I knew some people were going to complain about it because of their undying love for SAO and .hack. This anime is nothing like .hack and SAO except for the fact indeed they are stuck and it's a game where they are in it. The characters are dressed like their class, each character has it's own great personality, and they even have different races. If I was to say this was closely ...

    look, it's Log Horizon...
it isn't Sword Art Online or .hack. if you appreciate it for what it is, you'll have a better chance of enjoying it. it gives off a really 'fun' feel and maintains a bright and light hearted aesthetic without diluting the gravity of the dire situation that the characters are in. the feeling that i get from Log Horizon is akin to the feeling that i got from Monster Rancher when i was younger. i ...

  • An Anime worthy of more seasons
Alright so not to bash people who like SAO but to me that anime was just a rehash of .hacksign with a forced romance (Seriously? Two episodes in and "LETS GET MARRIED!" bs?). When I was all sad and doubtful that all MMO Anime/Manga series would just end up the same way, that is when i found this.

I read the description and said I would watch it. I've only had to watch 5 episodes to just say ...

  • The MMORPG That SAO Never was, But could've been
I thought this anime was pretty good compared to others. Cough *cough * Sword Art Online. I like the strategist Shiroe and all the other actions that actually take place in Elder Tale like with Naotsugu and Crusty and the People of the land. This anime was just plainly well thought out and planned. Definitely worth your time to check it out.

Log Horizon revolves around Shiroe, Naotsugu, and ...

  • It's a fun one to watch when there's nothing else.
I like this anime and the genre of people inside games, but this one takes a turn for the political standpoint with a smart main character rather than a strong one. This is a fun concept but it gets old to me quickly and there seems to be a lack of fighting. In short, I like it, but I hope there's more action in the future.

A Familar Setup That Lacks the Draw of Similar Shows
Log Horizon is a story about a group of people who get stuck in an MMORPG. Sound familar? It should because the premise have been used repeatedly like in .hack and Sword Art Online and with that plot device being used to death there is little else to draw you into the show.

First off there is the cast of characters which is pretty vast. The abundance of cast membrs however cannot make up for ...

  • Log Horizon is solid
I'm not an anime freak, but this particular show was enthralling. It has nice animation, but also understands the way an MMO is played. At times it was very slow, but not because of filler. There practically is none. My only other tiff is that it randomly skips ahead without telling you or establishing a time shift. It's hard to explain, but they would resolve issues from a previous episode and ...

  • Truly a great show about MMOs.
Log Horizon will always be compared to Sword Art Online. I have not seen the latter, but I can say this, I will compare SAO to LH, and if it is half as good then I'll be hooked. Log Horizon just makes you feel that world they are sucked into. It is exactly how I'd imagine the world being if I got sucked into an MMO. The characters Shiroe and Akatsuki are just amazingly cute with their ...
