  • Love it as much as Sword Art Online 2!
Feels like a Alternate dimension of SAO Similar to Following a chain created from SAO's Seed project.

Completely Amazing! More Episodes please please!
I'll go buy more Log Horizon Loot so please take my money as support and fund those episodes!

    Woohoo!

  • Fantastic Setting, Fair Story
As of this post, the show is on season 2, episode 11.

The plot itself is great in theory, but mostly just mediocre in execution. I feel they could have done a better job pulling the viewer in some sensitive scenes. Also, I don't really like how some characters just drop off the face of the earth for convenience-sake. On the other hand, I think the team did a wonderful job at making the setting ...

  • Don't compare to SAO
This will be review abridged because my full opinion will be like a 5 page long essay.

This is an almost all around it is a great anime easily one of my top 10, just don't go into it with the wrong expectations and go thinking of it as another SAO or .hack// it takes a completely different approach as they try to live in this world. They don't try to escape because they don't know if there is ...

The greatest anime of All Time. (If you got that reference, you are GOD)
It isn't SAO. Just putting it out there.

What it IS, is an amazing show. Very deep, and the characters are all likable in their own way. (Rudy, you're fucking amazing). The art style is also very original; almost seems like a bit of Summon Night, or other Atlus game, was implemented too. It builds up a majestic world instantly, and further expands on that story more and more with well written ...

    Didn't keep me interested enough
I loved the first half of the first season. Having never watched MMORPG-related anime, this one seemed to hit such a sweet spot. I began to reminisce about the fun years I spent playing WoW and I even almost got myself a subscription.

There are SO many characters! Too many, really, but I guess they were aiming for a super-realistic game anime? I liked Nyanta and really hoped he and the red-head ...

  • Log Horizon IS our reality.
What would you do if you were stuck in a game?
    -Okay, don't answer that.
Now, what would you do if you were stuck in a game where everything seems the same, but you're asked to survive with basic necessities such as food, water, shelter and safety? Don't forget government and relationships!
This is the question that Log Horizon seems to answer. They answer the question of needing food and ...

  • A unique take on the gaming world
Log Horizon was a first choice after a long drought of Anime releases, and to put it up front, its the same premise as Sword Art Online, but with a better in-depth look into character development. The anime itself is based in a whimsical and mysterious game world where escape is uncertain, just like SAO. But a thing I noticed was that throughout Season 1, the main ...

    What SAO Could Have Been
    Recommendation at Bottom

Sure, Log Horizon and SAO are not the same. But they have the same thesis, executed differently: What if a video game was real?

I starting watching this after starting SAO, so I'll give my understanding of SAO first. In SAO, the ideas of a real video game were taken to the greatest extent in the consequences of death, and also to consequences in general. It ...

  • Why You Need to Watch
    Pros:

-While drawing on the same fantasy setting as another popular series (which shall not be named), Log Horizon takes the base idea and follows it into an entirely new direction. This series simply cannot be compared to other anime in the same genre. Whereas SAO involves the players working to survive and demonstrating the massive survivalist struggle of their worlds, Log Horizon is about ...

This was way more than i expected
As i started to watch this i believed that it was just like S.A.O. however as i continued to watch this i found myself way more emerged than i ever was with sword art. As an action anime lover i found this both pleasing with the combat as well as the character development and the eventual plot twists. I rate this as one of the top three anime that i have ever seen and i honestly believe that it ...
