  • Not a bad way to spend some time
I quite like these kinds of shows. The main character is likable and so are the supporting cast. There aren't tons of giant cliffhangers at the end of every season too, which is nice, but there are also plenty of things to explore for future seasons.

  • It would almost have 5 stars!
This is an anime I would highly recommend if it weren't for season 2. I love the strategic, political, and cultural elements explored. Log Horizon may not be as flashy as SAO, but it takes the time to consider what would be the ramifications of gamers being stuck in a game. It's still well worth the watch.

    The Start of a World
Log Horizon is an anime that takes place in modern day. The game Elder Tales becomes a reality for those who were logged in during the Apocalypse, the day when all of the players were transported into the game. Shiroe, the main character, lives in the city of Akihabara. He and his friends want to get used to the world and are trying to help in whatever way possible.

    The play between the ...

  • More Than What it Seems!!!!
Most people tend to see .Hack or SAO first before seeing this anime. I was no different. And in the beginning, they have some similar attributes. However, Log Horizon(LH) really shines with it uncanny storyline and character development. Plus, Shiroe, one of the main characters, plays a support role instead of your usual fighter, wizard, or solo powerful heroine. ...

    Isn't like SAO nor .Hack//
No, it's not like .hack// nor SAO. In fact, I think I'm liking it more than SAO. SAO was more of "Level up and get the heck out of here" type of anime. Log Horizon as an amazing story. In every series ending, it had me hanging. 2 sessions, and it feels like it's barely making a dent on the storyline.

This anime totally messed up my sleeping schedule; worth it.

  • One of my favorite animes
I think one of the things I enjoy most about it is that unlike shows like SOA (yes like everyone else I'm comparing it to that lol), it actually focuses on the multiplayer in MMO instead of being solo-carry-hero. Additionally, there is a lot of "fighting off the battlefield" which gives the world more interest than simply move on and forget through combat after combat. Another enjoyable factor is ...

  • A great series. So glad I tried it!
I decided to give this anime a shot because the premise of it sounded interesting. I'm tired of people comparing this to .Hack and SAO. It's a great show and shouldn't be compared to other anime just because they are also stuck in a game. That's the only thing that is the same. The characters in this show are great and I just love the way everyone works together in this show. This show isn't ...

  • Definitely a Must Watch!
Thoroughly enjoyed watching through the entire two seasons in a matter of days, I was hooked. Beautifully crafted characters, wonderful story line and never a dull moment. 10/10 Would watch again! And no, this isn't like SAO, similar setting but that's as far as the similarities go.

Slow paced with story arcs going nowhere.
Log horizon starts off promising. But gets bogged down in details and story arcs that ultimately culminate in less than nothing or much less than any reasonable viewer would expect.

Despite comparisons to SAO, the two have very little alike besides the fact that they're both about MMOs. For most of the series, the characters of Log Horizon are indifferent about the fact that they're trapped ...
