  • Refreshing to say the least
I started watching this anime with very little expectations but found myself watching episode after episode, I just could not stop watching.

While it started a little slow, the progression started to take off and did not stop, we got something new every episode. It was great to see such a refreshing anime in the sea of mediocrity.

  • When waiting SAO season 2, this was my go to show.
Another game where every players gets sent to the game world, but instead of the game the world is real. And now the players are their avatars and the game rules still apply. Absolutely, my second favorite show in this genre below SAO. Most view this show as a cliche and just another game type anime. This show is unique in that the world and lore of their game is real and the players, or ...

  • Everything Dot Hack and SAO were.... and more
To start with, I am only 10 episodes into this show, but I can already tell based on my overall impression (and the reviews of other users and critics) that this is easily the best "trapped in an MMO" style anime that has ever come out.
Being an old school Toonami fan, I grew up watching .hack//SIGN. At that time, the only really big accessible MMOs that were out (within my circle at least) were ...

  • Was immensely surprised by how good it is!
Starts off a little slow, but quickly became my new favorite anime! Well-written, smart, and very little unnecessary filling or gratuitous female objectification. This show gets better as it goes on, and the characters don't leave me yelling at the screen the way many other shows do (even the shows I love tend have this effect). I highly recommend giving it a try :-D ( don't forget to give it a ...

  • Very Good Immersed anime
This anime not only Explains its world overall in the episodes but also explains the math and science of it as well giving people what they truly wanted to see overall although I could say it's like SAO/ Sword Art Online In Reality it's nothing like sword art online because while they used VR Gear in SAO No VR Gear was used to play the game in Log Horizon in Turn in Reality this makes it that much ...

  • Not What You Might Expect
The anime, in my opinion, was amazing since it took a new turn onto the "stuck in the MMO RPG" element, giving it a level slot nine healing word spell to it. And I'm saying this because they moved away from the action part to get the meat of an RPG like world craft and more, and how they did this is by giving economical, strategistic, and bonding you may have to do if you were stuck in a game like ...

  • Unique. Special. One of a kind.
I'm not good at explaining but I'll still try. I love this anime and how they handle the game concept plots.
Log Horizon takes the game concept anime into another view point. It considers issues that others wouldn't think of. By expanding and going through each issue, the problems the characters encounters are always different and refreshing. It opens a new road and path on views of gaming. Some ...

  • Not gonna waste my time comparing it to SAO
Let me lead off with saying that any story about some one trapped in a video game is ripped off from TRON so I shan't compare Log Horizon to any other story of that nature. I will say that this is a fun and engaging story with cool characters and a very interesting setting. It showcases the time and stratagies that go into RPG's rather than focusing on the action, which is present and great ...

  • Loved it (Wished almost there was a game of it)
Not like Sword Art Online, but I am not saying SAO was bad, I haven't seen the second season of SAO anyway after the fairies.

I love the characters, and loved the humour it had. They do great jobs of explaining MMO. Um, I would so go to Log Horizon world if I could.
