  • Not your typical 'stuck in the game'
We've gotten pretty used to the formula of these kinds of anime now. Player(s) get stuck and immediately try to find a way out. Characters may change, individual situations might be altered, but it's pretty much a given that's how it's going to go. And the game 'rules' hardly matter once the player's inside it; it's just the world-made-real.

Take all that and toss it out the window for Log ...

  • Not just another 'trapped in a game' anime
Log Horizon will always be compared to the giant in the genre SAO. I love both series, but for plot lines, Log Horizon is far better. This is a unique spin on the 'trapped in a game' genre and focus's on story lines other than constant action/combat. If you are looking for Dragon ball Z type of action, this is not the anime for you. If you are looking for a plotline that is a little more ...

  • Very Intriguing, but Season 2 was a Slight Letdown
Disclaimer: Although I watched both seasons, my review will be focused primarily on the second season. This is not to say that season 1 had no influence on me.

Log Horizon is an anime about MMORPGs that accomplishes many things that its rivals fail to do. The best thing about this is instead of playing on the fantasies of most hard-core gamers or anime fans in general, it focuses on many ...

  • A great anime for MMO fans!
If you're a fan of SAO and/or MMORPGs, then this is the anime for you! It features solid characters that are given time to develop, and some interesting enemies. You'd think that because the life or death risk has been taken out of the equation that there wouldn't be enough drama/suspense, but it ends up delivering plenty! It also explores some of the darker aspects of MMOs such as people taking ...

  • Good, but it has one flaw
Ok, before we start I want to say that this is NOTHING like Sao. Some people will argue that it is just a ripoff of Sao but other than the fact they are stuck in a game it has very few similar things. The animation is wonderful and most of the characters are like-able, BUT I have one thing I do not like. Now, please remember that this is my own personal opinion and you may like it but I HATE the ...

  • Log Horizon: A show to watch
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in an MMO? This show takes people from the real world and places them into the game, shortly after an expansion happens so they have higher levels to obtain, bigger bosses and better gear to gear all while trying to figure out this new world they are in filled with conflict with other players and people of the land and other random monsters. It ...

  • Log Horizon is where every fantasy gamer wants to go.
This is NOT SAO, not even close. I picked it up thinking is was like SAO, but what I discovered was so much better. I am nearly through the second season and so far every episode satisfies! Here there are a bunch of players transported into their game. The game (Elder Tales) is a normal MMORPG played at your computer looking at a display. But then <something happens> and this something is the ...

  • This is an epic anime you will love.
Log Horizon Is epic from first to last episodes, I know ones will think this is no sword art online, or that this is better, If there ever was to be a split in fans it would be this and sword art online wail some like I like both.Log Horizon reaches mew heights and can give any other anime a run for its money. The story line is tasteful with its sugar and spice. the main character and side ...

  • Prepare to become addicted real quick
So, much like the other reviews I was on a Sword Art Online kick and wanted to watch something similar. Thus I found Log Horizion and it completely blew my mind. This is, much like everyone else is saying, is what SAO could have been.

The story begins with no explanation on how the characters arrived in this world or how they can return to their normal lives. The series begins light hearted ...

    It's SAO, but BETTER!!!
    Honestly it's better that SAO.

    That's it.

SAO's problem was focusing too much on one character, and having an mmorpg in name, but they didn't really show it. This actually shows you they're in an mmorpg!

Pretty much all there is too it~

    Still like them both though
