This will inevitably be compared to Madoka Magica
I liked that the first scene revealed what kind of anime this will really be. A lot of people dropped madoka from the first episode because they didn't know what kind of anime it'll turn into.

    So let's get into it.

The main character is a starry-eyed delusional high-school girl, which is a serviceable personality for this type of show. One interesting thing to note, she's already obsessed ...

    A Very Promising Debut!
At this point you might be thinking, "Oh no! Genco is ripping off Aniplex!" Or a more forgiving but still skeptical, "Wait, a spiritual successor to Puella Magi Madoka Magica? No way will it measure up to the original."

However, this series does me as many unique favors in it's pilot alone as my previous favorite "Magical Girl" anime. In fact, it does me quite a few more favors than most.

    If ...

MGRP: the Chuunibyou Cousin of Madoka
This anime promises to be more moe trash with angst haphazardly taped over the top.

Basically a Madoka grimdark alternate universe plot thread elevated into its own show, this story basically goes to great lengths to create a conflict which feels forced and trite. The characters seem to be just stock archetypes, and the manga's story brings nothing new or compelling to the table. The ecchi ...

    Very Interesting New Show
As of episode one(that is all that has been released when I am writing this review), I feel like this anime has lots of potential. It's most likely that this anime will stay pretty strong due to what the description says will end up happening, and it seems as if this will happen in episode two. So far, this is a pretty good show, and the girls are cute(even La Pucelle).

Despair Ho! Will it be another Madoka?
My Video First Impression Episode 1:
    https://youtu.be/nYOVOK0VDfE

Magical Girl Raising Project is about an adorable and innocent 8th grader Koyuki who uses her powers to help out old ladies and to rescue cats from trees. Well, that's not what we're here for is it. We're here to see how her innocence will gets defiled, and how her hopes and dreams shatter and turn into despair.

Magical Girl Raising Project - Review by 827
i have been very excited for yet another magical girl anime, because i like what most people hate about them. i love cuteness and moe-ness mixed with very well done fighting scenes filled with amazingly drawn magical attacks and transformations. i was very disappointed to see everyone comparing this to madoka magi in any way shape or form, more than it just being related to magical girls. this ...

A Much Needed New Magical Girl Series!
The first few minutes of the first episode wastes no time by defining it's targeted demographic - Girls (and boys) who loved magical girl animes when they were kids but felt that society and social norms kept them from expressing their obsession as they grew older. It lets you know right away that this is a Magaical Girl Anime for grown up fans.

I am a huge Madoka Magica fan, heck I even run ...

    Madoka Magica meets Sekirei?
If that's the concept here, omg I am sofa king in.

I can't in good conscience five-star a series after just one episode, but I sure am tempted. This is precisely the kind of thing I want to watch, and you can bet I'm going to be watching it. I've been wishing for something like this for a long time.

The comparisons to Madoka are fair
While it is very similar to Madoka Magica in that it's a story that starts out a happy tale of magical girls that quickly turns dark, it's clearly also very different in execution. If you haven't see Madoka yet, then go watch that - because it's amazing - and if you like it, give this one a try. 2 episodes in, it definitely has a promise all it's own.

A magically average battle royal... that only gets worse.
Edit after watching everything: Okay so... this turned out to be even worse than I had suspected. Basically take everything I said in the review below and then add in cringe-worthy moments and utterly contrived drama and plot. It's like someone was reading the entire plot to this off of a specifications sheet. It was repetitive and... need I emphasize... very, very contrived. Basically just take a ...
