    Ah, my Saturday mornings...
*NOTE: so far I've watched up to ep 16*

I'll be honest, the only reason I flat-out watched this is only because I found out (after the show aired) that the great Yusuke Murata (illustrator for Eyeshield 21) designed the characters. And that was about it.

Oh, and also because KENN is the MC's seiyuu.

This show makes no attempts to hide the fact that it's clearly aimed at your ...

    Is this going anywhere?
After six episodes the story is still non-existent. The only emotion I feel for any of the characters is annoyance. Half of the dialogue consists of the protagonist repeating the same question with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Forget about questions like, "Why are we fighting?", "Who are we fighting?", "What are 'bones', and why are they linked to the characters?"

    When we're this far ...

First thoughts on the first episode
It started off with an action fight scene with no talking which put me off a bit. Then it switches to the main character of the show which in most anime acts heroic sort of and has justice gets in a bad situation and gains powers. The plot made no sense to me and the people in the background waiting to see what happens made no sense are they the good guys or bad no idea yet. the overall show was a ...

Worth watching if you're jonesing and have caught up everything else.
Addendum: 05/13/2014 bumped rating a star due to mild character growth and the addition of a devil's advocate smart enough to point out how dumb the main protagonist is acting.

The plot is trope, the characters stereotypical, the art (barely) squeaks by being horrible, and the CGI needs polish. The dialogue is uninspired at best but the voice acting, in particular for the main character, is ...

Tried but failed; I had higher hopes for this anime.
I watched the first episode on this anime and was expecting some good action scenes. Sadly it was poorly done, with bad CGI for the mecha battles leaving me greatly disappointed in this anime. I truly hope for many anime to tone down their abusive use of CGI.

Awesome but epic anime of all.
This anime is really experience that ways and understanding that Toei Animation and Namco Bandai ever created to make our people to understand the legend of players. I love this anime because of the fighting, the art, and story, etc. Its would make this spring anime number one of all.

Now, it wasn't amazing but it's earnest and may end up pretty interesting.
The show utilizes many new animation techniques which the animators are obviously not completely used to yet, but you can really tell that they're trying. The show definitely however plays it safe, with cliches such as: a high school setting, a secret society of good guys, the anonymous bad guys who are bad' because they are bad, the overly eager girl, who is a childhood friend, the main ...

First but not most. Toei Animation.
Before I review this I want to simply say; This review is based merely on the first episode, and is not intended to make it seem like a competition or a race.

The same people who brought you some of your most enjoyable childhood morning (Digimon) and are still delivering one of your favorite longest lasting simulcasts (One Piece) is also starting a new spring special, Majin Bone. Needless to ...
