woh, chill man. Well, They named it 3 because they wanted to mantain the numbering, FF2,3,5 was never released in the states for the snes, thus, FFIV(JPN)=FFII(NA) and FFVI(JPN) = FFIII(NA) for the snes.

llmater, u r right. the number difference only exists for the snes version though. they change the name back for the other releases on psx and gba, thus the confusion in names... the snes north america version for this game IS named FF3 alright. There was

I love this opening!! FFS people this is both FFVI and FFIII. Since in Japan it was released as "FFIII" and in US it was as FFVI. And does it really matter?
