Hey sebarashi, Japan has a pretty villainous history. Japan invaded Korea 3 times in the last couple hundred years and Japan has historically considered Korea to be a dagger pointing at the heart of Japan.

@sebarashii: Japan waived claims??? They had no claims to Korea to begin with... The film was not made to vilify Japan but rather in hopes of unification of the Korean peninsula.

Stupid premise. The Japanese waived all their territorial claims in Korea and other occupied countries in 1952 with the signing of the SF peace treaty. This film was obviously made to vilify Japan.
