@asameshimae: I would agree with Kenshin, but Gintama is stretching a bit. Yeah Gin has the historical characters from the Shinsengumi, but Kenshin and Peacemaker have stories that could very of well happened

It's a fictionalized historical adaptation about a time when most samurai weren't permitted to (or didn't) kill indiscriminately. This series is in the same vein as Rurouni Kenshin and Gintama. Also is someone making you watch this show?
