If you played the original FFV game, you will notice that the stars meant that he has mastered that job class. In this case mastering the mime job class is his EX mode. He gets boosts for every attack making them unique copies of other skil

@Hamizan: Half correct, those moves aren't his, it's Onion Knight's spinning move. And this is a low level Butz haha, not much skills learnt yet.

Butz's skills are copies of other characters. He takes skills from cloud, squall and a few more. In the end of the Ex Burst he combines all those weapons into his unique brave blade. In the storyline, Butz is a super coward haha!
