    there was already a shinsengumi videogame for the PS2 but it's in Japanese.but I'm not sure if this is the same one mmm probably a different one but I could be wrong.

    I dont if i am right but it somehow resembles a scene in the anime Peace Maker and yeah their group is called shisengumi in that anime series.

    There's gameplay videos elsewhere. As much as I liked the Shinsengumi, I watched a Taiga drama of them. The game itself isn't that fun. The sword fighting is EXTREMELY stale.

    In 1863, the Roshigumi, a group of 234 masterless samurai or rōnin, was founded by Kiyokawa Hachirō to act as the protectors of the Tokugawa shogun in Kyoto. this group became known as the Shinsengumi. more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinsengumi
